As a Lab Analyst based in Shanghai, China, you will play a key role in supporting quality assurance, research & development, troubleshooting, and sustainability initiatives by conducting physicochemical analyses in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. You will also contribute to projects aimed at enhancing lab capabilities, improving efficiency, and ensuring the highest quality standards.
This role sits within the Asia Pacific Technical Center (APTC) and provides a unique opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, leveraging your expertise to drive innovation and continuous improvement in a dynamic laboratory environment.

What You'll Do for Us:
- Perform beverage analysis using proper techniques, such as testing for intended compounds, functional ingredients, food additives and other parameters related to beverage quality, including samples preparation, instrumental analysis, and result reporting (in LIMS).
- Record data from testing or experiments in a computer, logbook, or laboratory notebook according to what is defined by the lab.
- Review data to ensure accuracy of data and analytical processes in control. Data reviewing may include database queries, statistical process control check, correlation studies, notebook review, and/or traceability exercises.
- Organize workflow and task schedules to maximize individual, team and laboratory efficiency.
- Participate in all relevant quality / occupational health & safety / environment (QEOSH) activities, such as, continuous improvements, internal/external audits, standard operating procedures preparation, compulsory training, etc.
- Own responsibility to align the objective (OGSIM) and priorities with manager
- Conducts technical communication internally and externally on testing and related subject matter
- Designs, conduct and/or review experiments for method development transfer and validation.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Science, preferably in a Chemistry-related field.
- 1-2 years of relevant hands-on experience in wet chemistry and instrumental analysis within an analytical laboratory setting is strongly preferred. Prior experience in a food and beverage lab environment is preferred.
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese is required to effectively collaborate across global teams and external stakeholders.
- Works independently within defined objectives and deadlines, applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills to navigate situations where specific procedures may not exist.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment; able to multi-task with proven follow-through and adherence to changing priorities and deadlines.
Travel Requirements
Travel up to 5% of work time under normal conditions of work time or depending on project needs and business priorities.
Other Technical Competencies:
- Analytical Expertise: Strong foundation in physicochemical testing techniques and advanced instrumental analysis, including chromatography, mass spectrometry, UV, and FT-IR. Understanding of quality systems and compliance standards within laboratory operations.
- Data Analysis & Problem-Solving: Proficient in using statistical tools for data interpretation, integrating information, and applying analytical thinking to solve problems in daily tasks and projects.
- Method Development & Validation: Ability to execute protocols for method development and implementation, interpret data, and generate comprehensive reports.
- Industry & System Knowledge: Familiarity with the food and beverage industry, as well as Coca-Cola's lab functions and quality assurance processes.
- Technical Communication: Effectively conveys findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through written reports, lab documentation, and verbal communication to support informed business decisions.
- Project & Time Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and ensure project deliverables are met efficiently.
