Job Description
The Instructional Design Intern will use instructional design and multi-media skills to analyze, design, develop, help implement, evaluate, and maintain training, including materials such as videos, eLearning modules, workbooks, facilitator guides, job aids and other resources that will drive organizational learning and results.
What your day will look like:
- Help support instructional, learning, or performance objectives for associates and instructors
- Apply tested instruction design theories, practices and methods in the design of a variety of instructional materials for traditional instructor-led courses, online modules, web-based learning aids or other products/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, and other learning technologies)
- Conduct any content research required
- Ensure online materials comply with system requirements for the various learning technologies used by associates
- Re-design courses for online presentation that are conducive to self-paced learning online
- Adapt coursework to assist learners with disabilities so that they can experience the same learning opportunities as others
- Devise modes of assessment, such as observations, surveys, tests, or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of content
- Assist with Train-the-Trainer offerings to prepare instructors in how to execute the designed training
- Conduct needs assessments and strategic learning assessments to develop the basis for curriculum development or to update curricula
- Upload and maintain content documentation and course folders in various systems such as SharePoint and the Learning Management System
- Provide technical support to associates and instructors in the implementation of designed instruction
- Assist with Learning Management Systems support as needed
- Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management

What you need to succeed:
- Minimum of 18 years old
- Currently enrolled in Instructional Design undergraduate or graduate program; or graduate with degree in Instructional Design
- Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
- Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
- Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work with cross functional teams
- Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and build trusting relationships
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Frequent sitting, typing, and keying
- Ability to demonstrate adaptability, customer service, initiative, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced, quickly changing environment
