Job Summary: As a Total Rewards Portfolio Director, you will be responsible for establishing and governing the Total Rewards (TR) project portfolio as agreed by the TR Leadership Team (TRLT). They will provide a clear, consistent, independent, structured and integrated approach for managing and governing projects across the group, with the ultimate objective of the program delivering to plan.

This position will work directly with the TRLT to translate the function's long-range plan and annual business plans into program and project plans. This role will monitor and control projects utilizing agreed project management methodologies, tools and techniques (including Agile/Scrum). This position will work with the team on resource allocation across the networked organization. Program/project management, strategic thinking and consulting skills are necessary to providing strategic recommendations to ensure objectives are consistently met.

This role is an individual contributor yet team player to ensure the global programs and projects use the process and tool capabilities required to run an efficient and effective portfolio of projects. Thought leadership is required to recommend process improvements. The ideal candidate is a self starter, strategic thinker, effective problem solver, is able to connect the dots across multiple functions, and is an outstanding communicator who is able to influence without authority.

Key Responsibilities can include:

  • Establishing, leading and working on TR Portfolio related efforts using significant conceptualizing, reasoning, and interpretation which cover:
  • Processes
  • Communications
  • Tools
  • Reports and dashboards
  • Training
  • Ensuring that the Total Reward function delivers to plan and flagging upcoming risks, leading conversations to reprioritize work if necessary
  • Providing visibility, consistency, and transparency of progress status reporting. The role needs to provide management with the insights and options required to 'course correct' in a timely manner, when and as required.
  • Connecting with the TRLT to ensure that processes, tools, systems, reports and dashboards are efficient, effective, embedded and are delivering value to all stakeholders.
  • Responsible for building program and project management capability across the Total Rewards operations starting with the TR Project Sr Managers and the TR Operations team leads and their direct reports.
  • Building and maintaining relationships across Total Rewards Operations leaders and key stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor
  • Ensuring TR projects are budgeted, defined, tracked and executed in a consistent and effective manner
  • Leading resource capacity planning and allocation for projects and initiatives, defining requirements, making expectations clear, identifying risks, and garnering necessary support

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. PM certifications are a plus.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical practices and integrity in previous roles.
  • Demonstrated skills across multiple stakeholders, functions and countries. Requires ability to convince others within and outside of the organization to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches impacting sub-functional/business strategy
  • Demonstrated expertise and successful delivery of global projects across a mixed-matrix organization
  • Expertise in program and project management disciplines, such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, Hybrid etc and knowing when to apply each methodology
  • Experience working with various project management software such as JIRA, MS Project, Adobe Workfront, or other industry leading project management solutions
  • Demonstrated Coaching and mentoring skills
  • Proven ability to adjust to changes and set priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, ideally with TR experience in a global context.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on honesty and transparency.
  • Demonstrates comfort in a fast-paced, delivery execution environment where priorities shift frequently.
