Job Summary

CN is looking for a passionate, self-motivated recruitment professional who is driven to deliver top talent to our team. CN's people make the difference and, in this role, you will be responsible for attracting and hiring top talent to help enable CN's objective of being North America #1 railroad of choice. The Talent Acquisition Advisor is responsible for candidate engagement throughout the hiring lifecycle including job posting management, sourcing, conducting and scheduling interviews, extending offers and completing necessary paperwork and processes to onboard new hires while proactively working to ensure CN builds a diverse workforce. You will join a fast-paced and dynamic Talent Acquisition team that is focused on continuing CN's legacy of being a top employer year after year!

Main Responsibilities
• Responsible for the full life-cycle recruitment for requisitions across North America including job postings, sourcing and resume review, pre-screening, interviews, and pipeline tracking
• Develop a deep understanding of CN's talent needs across different teams and groups
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with hiring managers to understand their hiring needs while providing expertise on market trends and providing hiring recommendations
• Continuously work towards building and maintaining strong talent pipelines for multiple, complex searches by leveraging numerous platforms
• Directly source candidates through database mining, direct sourcing, vendor partnerships and referrals
• Conduct initial conversations with potential candidates to evaluate qualifications, providing feedback and recommendations on next steps
• Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the entire recruitment process
• Manage job offer process including offer extensions and negotiation
• Collaborate and share knowledge and best practices with the Talent Acquisition and HR teams
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy through CN's internal ATS system
• Act as an ambassador within the Talent Acquisition team
• Ensure that recruiting and hiring practices are in compliance with corporate policies and governmental regulations
Working Conditions
The role has standard working conditions and will currently be eligible to participate in our flexible work from home policy. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure and manage stress.
Requirements
Experience
Minimum 2 years of recruiting experience in transportation or a trades-based environment (high volume)
Education/Certification/Designation
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources (HR) or equivalent an asset
Technical Skills/Knowledge
• Fluently bilingual both written and verbal in English and French
• Experience with ATS and/or Recruitment Software
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Proven track record of success in talent acquisition with strong recruitment skills
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
• Strong interviewing, negotiation, and closing skills
• Resourceful with strong analytical skills
