Job Summary
The Specialist, Digital and Video Design is responsible for producing professional and compelling motion design and video media to support CN's brand strategy. The incumbent enhances and promotes CN's brand through traditional and experimental platforms for internal and external audiences. Additionally, the role ensures that all brand strategies are consistently communicated.

Main Responsibilities
Motion Design and Visual Media Creation
- Create visually stunning motion graphics and animations for various digital media platforms
- Incorporate typography, visual effects, and sound design to enhance the overall impact and engagement of motion graphic content
- Adapt and optimize motion graphics for different screen sizes and resolutions to ensure seamless playback on various channels
- Demonstrate a keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail, ensuring
high-quality motion graphic deliverables that meet client expectations and effectively tell the CN story
Enhances and Promotes the CN Brand
- Develop original concepts for interactive video media for use at tradeshows and marketing events and conferences
- Collaborates directly with partners to develop high quality visuals that include internal communications campaigns, brand promotion, event themes and traditional print assets
- Contributes to the creative process by bringing innovative ideas and creative solutions to the table, contributing to the overall success of the brand and the Company
Apply and Communicate Consistent Brand Standards
- Offer creative and flexible design options that are on brand and accurately represent Company's image and reputation
- Maintain brand standards and effectively communicate them with internal departments and external suppliers
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project goals, gather feedback, and incorporate revisions to achieve the desired creative vision
- Collaborate with the creative team, including graphic designers, external videographers, and content creators, to conceptualize and storyboard motion graphic projects that align with brand guidelines and project objectives
- Remain updated with industry trends and best practices, continuously refining skills, and exploring new techniques to push the boundaries of motion graphics design
Working Conditions
The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. The role is eligible to participate in CN's hybrid working policy. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure, and stress.
Requirements
Experience
- Digital Media
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on contribution in the areas of digital media, events and tradeshows, interactive presentations, and storyboarding
Education/Certification/Designation
- College Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or Motion Design

Technical Skills/Knowledge
- Knowledge of both, PC and Mac operating systems
- Knowledge of Adobe Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud programs including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat DC
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
