Job Summary
The Manager, Corporate Revenues is responsible for preparing and overseeing CN's Corporate Net Revenues and acts as a strategic liaison among various departments. The incumbent interacts with Sales and Marketing business units (BUs), Accounting, Investor Relations, and Strategy, to gather detailed information and deliver insights for executive reporting purposes. The role also actively participates in the development and presentation of the annual CN business plan, month and quarter-end financial reporting and disclosures, as well as CN's 3-year demand planning. The role develops the themes and content for Board presentations, plays a key role in tracking progress towards CN's growth initiatives, supports the Senior Manager, Revenue Planning with ad hoc requests, and acts as back-up for other members of the Revenue Planning team.

Main Responsibilities
Reporting Activities
• Deliver complete and accurate reports (e.g., Monthly Preview, Year-End-Outlook (YEO) Evolution, Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A)) for Financial Planning, other functions (e.g., Corporate Accounting, Sales and Marketing, Treasury, Investor Relations) and external parties on a timely basis
• Generate and analyze a variety of reports to help stakeholders understand business drivers and changes in the markets which impact CN customers and traffic volumes
• Explain variances to forecast, budget and prior years for internal and external reporting purposes
• Develop and communicate monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for budgets, YOEs and other performance indicators and industry market drivers used in valued-driven decision making
• Prepare monthly updates for executive consumption and the Board of Directors
• Initiate and lead the quarterly volume commitment contracts tracking and certification, and collaborate with accounting projects an policies in the process of evaluating, assessing, and determining the need for shortfall penalty accrual entries impacting CN's financial statements
Cross-Functional Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
• Liaise with other functional stakeholders during the revenue forecasting and budgeting processes (e.g., Linehaul, Non-Linehaul, Other and Non-rail Revenue) and ensure alignment between corporate goals and results
• Lead the quarterly and annual Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) certifications related to Revenue key controls, as well as engage with our external auditors during the annual audit
• Lead the quarterly MD&A roundtable discussion on revenues and other operational and strategic KPIs used in corporate financial disclosures
• Leverage expertise and knowledge to promote stronger relationships and communication between Revenue Planning and Accounting, especially in dealings related to projects and policies
Process Improvement
• Create insightful ad hoc Financial Planning reports supporting CN's goals, including self-serve dashboards and data analytics tools for internal customers
• Leverage technology and competitive insight for continuous improvement with the creation of enhanced forecasting tools, process designs, and data visualizations
• Review, streamline and automate revenue planning deliverables and processes to make them relevant and meaningful to the audience
• Validate information and improve quality to remain relevant and add value
• Ensure reports are timely and information is accurate and intact
Working Conditions
The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure, stress, and deal with confidential matters with discretion.
Requirements
Experience
Finance, Accounting, Marketing or Logistics
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a Finance, Accounting, Marketing, or Logistics environment
o Experience with project management and stakeholder engagement
o Experience in month-end and quarter-end financial reporting and accounting closing cycles
o Experience in forecasting and creating KPIs
o Experience in managing, mentoring and developing people
Education/Certification/Designation
• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce or relevant Finance and Accounting field
• Master of Business Administration
• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)
Any designation for these above would be considered as an asset

• Knows the railroad business and stays current with logistics industry trends
• Solid data analysis skills
• Sound knowledge of CN including internal processes and external indicators
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power Query)
• Solid understanding of the markets in which CN participates
• Knowledge of Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP) Business Objects (e.g., Marketing Waybill, Revenue Forecast, and Costing universes), Power Business Intelligence (BI), Tableau and systems, SAP applications and products
