Canadian National Railway Company (CN) is looking for a highly motivated person to fulfill a full-time (40h/week) Intern, Service Performance Operations position in Montreal, QC from May - Aug 2025.
Job Summary
The Intern, Service Performance Operations is responsible for familiarizing themselves with Information and Technology (I&T) Processes (e.g., incident, problem, change, knowledge), Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The incumbent has the opportunity to meet with several teams and service offering managers to understand their various needs and work on enhancing existing dashboard or creating new ones along with understanding the data structure in Service Now Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and working on various data cleanup and rationalization activities.
Major Responsibilities
• Meet with various operations teams to identify requirements related to service and process performance
• Propose improvements in existing processes based on feedback
• Enhance existing dashboards in Service Now or Power BI and create new ones if required
• Meet with various teams to understand CMDB data structure of their services
• Implement CMDB data mapping and cleanup activities (e.g., build, test and deploy)
Requirements
• Interest in process management and data
• Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong analytical skills
• Knowledge of Power BI
• Knowledge of Service Now Platform
Education
• Currently completing a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Information and Technology
*Any experience/education/skills/knowledge for these above would be considered as an asset
