Clean Harbors is looking for a Laboratory Manager at our El dorado, AR facility. Responsible for all lab operations and integration with other parts of the company/facility and oversight of employees ensuring the complex analysis of samples to determine their chemical and physical properties.

  • Maintenance of equipment, including outside vendor scheduling per maintenance contract schedules and suggests solutions to equipment problems and new/replacement laboratory equipment.
  • Completes all paperwork associated with the analysis in a neat and timely fashion.
  • Ensures that all work meets applicable QA/QC guidelines.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors as a Lab Manager?

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or a related science highly preferred
  • 5+ years supervisory experience with direct reports preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a laboratory setting preferred
  • Instrumentation knowledge preferred: GC Mass Spec, AA, ICP, Ion Chromatography, Calorimetry
  • QA/QC experience and production
  • 24- or 40-hour OSHA training
  • Manage sample shipments and obtain DOT training
  • Manage air monitoring equipment for the site
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport through regular conversations with staff
