A Maintenance Worker job is available with the City of Fort Worth Transportation and Public Works Department within the Streets and Stormwater Operations Division. The department is seeking to hire a Maintenance Worker with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
The Maintenance Worker job responsibilities include:
- Performing manual labor duties and equipment operations as they relate to maintenance operations.
- Work four (4) ten hour work days.
- Will be available in an on-call capacity when emergencies arise.
- Position will work outside, during inclement weather, at night and on weekends for special events or emergency call-back.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED
- No experience required
- Valid Texas Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications:
- Asphalt pouring
- Concrete
- Traffic control
- Cleaning Streets, gutters and alleys
- Working with and around heavy equipment
- Experience in maintenance or construction
- Small power tools such as a chainsaw
- Hand tools such as shovel, rake and sledge hammer
