$19.19 hourly ($39,915 annually while in training)
$28.09 hourly ($58,430 annually upon graduation)

CIVIL SERVICE EXAM DATE: January 6 & 7, 2021; Exam times to be announced 1
Qualified Applicants will be notified via email of testing process
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 18-35 YEARS OF AGE (cannot have reached 36 th birthday by the date of the entry-level test: Wednesday, January 6, 2021)
- VALID and CURRENT DRIVER'S LICENSE
- Required to obtain Class "B" driver's license during training
- HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA, GED CERTIFICATE or 12 SEMESTER HOURS from an accredited college or university
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must live within thirty (30) minutes of a designated report-in station
- Must be accomplished within six (6) months of employment
- Successfully pass a written test, an aerobic capacity run, a physical assessment test, a background check, a polygraph examination, an interview board and a medical / physical examination.
ADDITIONAL EXAM POINTS:
Additional points up to a maximum of five (5) cumulative points shall be added to a passing exam score as follows:
- Military Veteran = Five (5) points with Honorable Discharge, per DD214 Member 4
- Must email a copy of DD214 Member 4 to FWFDHiring@fortworthtexas.gov no later than Tuesday, January 5, 2021 @ 9:00 AM

NOTE: (1) The Civil Service Fire Trainee exam will be a live in-person exam in that qualified applicants will be required to report in person on their assigned date and time. Exams will be conducted in strict accordance with CDC Guidelines as qualified applicants will be required to wear a mask during the entire time of the examination process, must adhere to assigned social distancing requirements as instructed, and will have their temperature checked upon entry of the testing site. Qualified applicants that fail to comply with or do not meet the CDC Guidelines will not be permitted to take the exam nor take a make-up or alternate exam for this recruiting cycle.
