ESCROW LOAN SERV SPECIALIST
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
This position will be primarily responsible for handling all Escrow related tasks for Loan Servicing, including but not limited to payment of taxes, insurance, monitoring delinquent taxes, escrow analysis, working with RLD on Initial Escrow Analysis, and working with SAD and various RM's for any tax related issue.This position will also be depended upon to provide assistance to all areas of the loan servicing function on an as needed basis. This includes loan balancing, loan syndications, loan processing, quality control, customer service, etc.

What you will do
- Payment of Property Taxes: Responsible for the payment of all property taxes for impounded loans in all the various states and counties, before the due date to avoid penalties and loss of property. Must work with the vendor to ensure accurate amounts are received.
- Payment of Insurance: Disburses Insurance for Flood, Hazard, Earthquake, windstorm, and any other impounded Insurance. Works directly with the Insurance department for amounts due.
- Annual Escrow Analysis: Responsible for preparing the annual escrow analysis statements on all impounded loans. Must adhere to published schedules, ensuring all statements are issued timely and accurate in strict adherence to RESPA regulations.
- Initial Escrow Analysis: Works with our Residential Lending department to calculate the Initial Impound/Escrow deposit amount for all new loans. Prepares the initial escrow statement for all new loans timely and accurately with strict adherence to RESPA regulations.
- Delinquent Tax Monitoring: Works with the vendor to monitor all loans with delinquent taxes. Prepares internal reports to the various units and credit managers, and works close with them and the collectors for timely follow up on all delinquent tax amounts. Works directly with SAD and the RM for any delinquent amounts greater than 3 installments. Monitors the mailing of the delinquent tax letters by the vendor.
- Research: Researches tax amounts, assessments, parcel changes, etc., based on exceptions and/or request from SAD or the business units.
- Maintenance: Responsible for system maintenance on payment schedules, billing schedules, escrow records, analysis records, tax contracts, and any other loan system maintenance required.
- Tax Vendor Invoice: Responsible for reviewing and approving the monthly tax service vendor invoice, reviewing that all fees were charged correctly, and that the fee was assessed on the loan, researching and resolving any discrepancies.
- Complies fully with all Bank Operational and Credit policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Know Your Client, Community Reinvestment Act, Fair Lending Practices, Code of Conduct, etc.).
Must-Have
- Minimum 5 years loan servicing experience (preferably Consumer Mortgage, or Commercial, ABL, and/or SBA).
- Minimum 5 years of experience with consumer laws and banking industry practices
- Minimum 3 years of customer service experience
Skills and Knowledge
- Working knowledge of applicable regulations, consumer laws and banking industry practices required.
- Ability to interact effectively and professional with all levels of Bank personnel, customers, vendors and other banks.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills required.
- Solid accounting, problem solving and customer service skills required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
Compensation
Starting base salary: $24.46 - $36.69 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
