Role Summary:

The Senior Director of Global Financial Systems is involved in all aspects of the company's global financial systems with responsibilities towards application support, defining strategic direction, implementation of new initiatives and the overall operability of the larger global financial systems ecosystem. This position provides strategic guidance and support to senior/executive leadership and contributes to the development of major goals to support broader corporate functional objectives related to its financial systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages and oversees the global Financial Systems support team.
  • Assumes responsibility of all aspects of Financial Systems applications including functional support and technical support of day-to-day operations and the technical development to support growth of the global platform.
  • Strategic contributor to define initiatives that align with emerging technology and corporate objectives. Ensure the seamless operation, integration, and enhancement of financial applications to meet evolving business needs.
  • Support the execution of financial systems strategy including full scale implementation of new systems and the ongoing enhancement of existing systems and processes driving towards standardization and compliance.
  • Partner with business leaders to design and implement scalable and efficient financial processes. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize financial operations and align with company growth.
  • Oversee compliance, security, and best practices in financial system management.
  • Facilitate interdepartmental communication and understanding between functional system users and application development teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree - Accounting/Finance
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • 10+ years Enterprise Systems Management
  • Business Process Management Experience
  • Conversational Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Effective communication skills
  • Conflict resolution and collaborative team building
  • Working knowledge of technical accounting concepts
  • Experience working with global teams
  • Working knowledge of the broader Latin American tax environment and statutory reporting requirements
  • Conceptual understanding of application development, data relationships and necessary controls to support the governance and integrity of information.
  • In depth understanding of integration protocols, framework and tools commonly used to support system connectivity and data transfers
  • Lean/Six Sigma mindset supporting a continuous improvement approach.
  • Understanding effective internal controls framework to support financial reporting.
  • Understanding of business process interdependencies and impact of downstream and upstream changes
  • Architectural understanding of Workday and Anaplan or comparable best of bread ERP, HRIS and EPM solutions.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MSSQL
