POSITION SUMMARY

The Data Analyst role leverages business and technical knowledge to develop new and innovative analytical solutions. Additionally, this role will use established best practices to verify insights for leadership and/or external customers and may conduct exploratory work pertaining to upcoming and/or ongoing product development.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

Analysis:

  • Extracts and interprets data to answer ambiguous questions while working directly with personnel across the network
  • Determines reporting and additional analysis to support initiatives and measurement
  • Proactively analyzes topics, identifies and creates recommendations supported by facts to change behaviors, including specific operational improvements to the team and the business in general
  • Clearly translate and communicate complex concepts into understandable, professional presentations
  • Perform quality assurance testing of reports and dashboards, including UAT as appropriate
  • Consults, supports and informs leadership and/or customers using data driven insights

Outreach/Network connectivity:

  • Presents and delivers analytical value through business intelligence and collaboration
  • Networks by building relationships and consulting to bring solutions to life
  • Collaborates with internal analytical teams to develop solutions in tandem

Reporting:

  • Understands existing reports, and develops additional custom reports using business knowledge
  • Influences on other reports being built, may be a SME to help guide new report creation
  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years previous analytics experience developing business solutions using comprehensive, robust data assets
  • Ability to travel up to 10% (domestically and internationally)
  • Site Specific: Fluent in Spanish and English (written and verbal)

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Intermediate proficiency with SQL
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs and Microsoft Office related tools (Powerpivot/PowerBI)
  • Basic knowledge of a programming language such as Python and/or R
  • Analytics or supply chain degree
  • Expert proficiency with T-SQL
  • Experience using advanced third-party analytical tools (Qlikview, Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Exposure to Navisphere, Navisphere Analytics, and NAST Analytics 2.0
  • Organized individual with strong self and project management disciplines, including the ability to lead, facilitate, and influence
  • Comfortable working autonomously, but willingly seeks guidance
  • Proven ability to think creatively to develop a data model or perspective to answer challenging business problems or scenarios
  • Creates comfortable, open-minded conversations with those who seek information, guidance or analytical collaboration
  • Effective communicator and data/reporting/business liaison through multiple mediums
  • A willing teacher/mentor who also responds positively to feedback from leaders and colleagues
  • Values a diverse and inclusive work environment
