Key responsibilities include understanding each carrier's goals and preferences to identify suitable freight, informing contracted carriers of service level requirements to ensure they meet customer expectations, driving the growth and retention of a complex portfolio of active carrier accounts, delivering an exceptional carrier experience through a deep understanding of digital, automated, and manual booking solutions, and enhancing capacity utilization through relationship building, problem-solving, and expert consultation. Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Develop a deep understanding of carriers' business goals, preferences, and capabilities to maximize relationships and capacity utilization.
  • Execute carrier strategies based on segment and monitor account activity to grow underutilized accounts.
  • Increase carrier engagement with automated booking products and identify suitable freight.
  • Promote carrier products and initiatives, matching them to carrier needs and engaging internal resources as necessary.
  • Drive carrier interaction with the C.H. Robinson platform and introduce new features.
  • Lead quarterly/annual carrier account reviews to evaluate business needs and identify opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Coverage resources to drive desired results based on market and capacity trends.
  • Use carrier analytics and pricing tools to make informed buying/negotiating decisions.
  • Post available capacity accurately to match freight and support customer pricing.
  • Secure transactional and committed capacity through various communication methods.
  • Deliver superior carrier experience by resolving problems and escalating serious issues.
  • Review and respond to carrier feedback to ensure issues are resolved.
  • Enable carrier cash flow by providing cash advances and resolving payable issues.
  • Work with internal partners on shipment updates, problem resolution, and operational execution.
  • Ensure consistent and accurate in-transit load visibility and reinforce on-time pick-up and delivery requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • At least 1 year of previous sales and/or account management experience (Logistics experience preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university
  • Proven business development skills, tailoring strategies to drive portfolio growth.
  • Strong relationship management with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent customer service, prioritizing customer and carrier experience.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, using industry knowledge to solve challenges.
  • Strategic thinker, identifying and developing value-creating opportunities.
  • Effective problem-solving, defining issues and implementing timely solutions.
  • High accountability, ensuring proper follow-through on responsibilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing time effectively.
  • Values a diverse and inclusive work environment

Compensation Range
$27.45 - $42.84
