To continue scaling growth, Chime is seeking an action-oriented Principal Media Strategist to join our Growth Marketing team. The Principal Media Strategist will be a critical thought leader in the development of full funnel media strategies and plans that deliver against Chime's Growth Marketing Media objectives.

This role is crucial in shaping our full funnel media strategy internally and externally with senior leadership and external partners. This role requires ongoing executive communication and will require influencing teams and leaders across the organization The Principle Media Strategist will work cross-functionally to support growth initiatives across the marketing funnel and keep teams informed of the overall campaign strategy. They will be the driver of media strategy for all full-funnel media campaigns. They will partner closely with internal and external media planning & buying teams, creative strategy and production teams, measurement, audience insights and program management to strategize, plan, execute, and measure highly successful full-funnel media campaigns designed to achieve measurable results that drive business growth.

The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $146,610 and up to $207,700. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role, you can expect to
  • Work with multiple internal and external partners to develop strategy, plans and process for media campaigns across the marketing funnel and communicate strategy and impact with leadership.
  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive media & measurement strategies aligned with overall company objectives.
  • Develop data-informed strategies using audience, channel, campaign, and marketplace insights, to drive innovation and business outcomes.
  • Work with consumer insights to develop and plan audience segmented media plans.
  • Drive impact reporting across all paid marketing efforts, analyzing key business drivers and performance metrics to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on full funnel media and translate data and insights into actionable storytelling.
  • Develop new processes and find opportunities to evolve current ones to improve the way we work cross functionally with the goal of delivering even greater value to the business.

To thrive in this role, you have
  • BS or BA in business, marketing or related field. MBA preferred but not required.
  • 8+ years of experience working in paid media with an emphasis on full funnel media and campaign optimization.
  • Experienced in designing media measurement frameworks and working knowledge of media measurement/attribution models.
  • Proven experience in managing agency relationships, providing feedback, and overseeing performance to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful full funnel media campaigns that drive impact to brand health metrics and measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, analyze campaign performance, and derive actionable insights.
  • Working understanding of the typical processes and tools applied by strategy, planning, and buying teams across multiple media types.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders to align on goals and execution.
  • Excellent verbal and visual communication skills and can use those to tell a story and drive action.
