Overview

The Sr Project Lead role provides overall leadership of the project management capability on the team by setting vision, defining strategy, and developing and executing tactics to deploy project management services. This role may serve as project manager on Financial Services initiatives; as well as oversee the work of external contractors who serve as project managers on significant Financial Services/Financial Strategy initiatives. This role will engage with third party vendors to identify and select service providers, negotiate rates, oversee onboarding of contractors, manage contractors, and select and terminate contractors. This role provides a high level of autonomy and requires a high degree of communication, collaboration, facilitation, and organizational planning skills to meet shared objectives for the department.

Responsibilities

  • Set 3-year vision, define strategy, and create and execute tactics for Project Management capability within Financial Transformation.
  • Oversee capability services fully autonomously, including:
    • scoping & requirements gathering
    • strategy & resourcing needs
    • project plan design, development & delivery
    • project team(s) alignment, support and communication
    • project management education & advisory
  • Manage the selection and oversight of external project management vendors
  • Plan and direct projects and project managers for significant Financial Services initiatives
  • Create and maintain self-serve/on demand project management resources to support various levels of project management services to the department
  • Adapt work as required to meet project deadlines
  • Work with financial stakeholders across the business (e.g. DTT, Legal) to set project management strategy for projects
  • Conduct project reviews and create status reports for Financial Services leadership
  • Define and capture measurements of success for project management capability


Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong collaboration skills

  • Financial acumen
  • Experience facilitating and managing multiple deadlines and business partners
  • Proven capacity in building relationships within diverse organizational areas
  • Self-motivation with high level of initiative
  • Demonstrates eagerness to learn and assume responsibility
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and change in a dynamic business environment
  • Detail orientation with problem-solver mindset
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Project management/scrum master certification

  • Project Management Major and/or PMP (or equivalent) Certification
