Overview

We are seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer to drive the custom development of software solutions within our Microsoft platform. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership, and strategic influence to shape our approach to Microsoft development technologies such as Power Platform, CoPilot Studio, CoPilot Agents, etc.

Technical Leadership & Development

  • Subject Matter Expert for Microsoft Power Platform and development focused CoPilot tools such as CoPilot Studio and Agents
  • Lead the team of Microsoft developers to build technologies such as:
    • Power Platform:
    • Reusable code to enable development
    • CI/CD
    • UI components library following Chick-fil-A visual standards

  • Solution Architecture & Governance

    • Provide solution architecture and governance for Power Platform solutions which includes but is not limited to:
      • Define and enforce governance around security and other engineering principles
      • Develop an integration strategy for Power App solutions and CoPilot RAG
      • Provide architectural guidance on best practices for low-code engineering
      • Design for limited Azure infrastructure and leveraging AWS

    Strategic Leadership & Collaboration

    • Lead and scale the low-code development program within DTT, ensuring alignment with broader department initiatives
    • Act as a trusted advisor to business and technology leaders, advocating for Power Platform capabilities across the enterprise
    • Collaborate with teams across the organization to drive best practices, standardization, and innovation in low-code development

    Innovation & Emerging Technologies

    • Identify and champion opportunities for CoPilot Studio, CoPilot Agents, and AI-driven enhancements within Power Platform applications
    • Proactively research, experiment with, and provide technical guidance on emerging Microsoft innovations
    • Evaluate emerging technology and recommend new solutions that align with business objectives

    Responsibilities

    • Own solution architecture decisions for the team's product
    • Orchestrate delivery of solutions in Microsoft Power Platform, coordinating with other teams to design, deliver, and operate these solutions
    • Lead the low-code development program, partnering with leaders across the department to align on strategy and vision, shaping the enterprise-wide approach to low-code adoption and implementation
    • Interview, select, onboard, and oversee contract engineers
    • Guide partner-led engineering workstreams, contributing to solution design and code reviews
    • Guide engineering team in adoption of Chick-fil-A software engineering standards
    • Identify & propose emerging software engineering technologies, methodologies and/or approaches
    • Coordinate with and influence technical-functional teams on technical roadmaps and roll outs


    Note - Working in a DevOps model, this opportunity includes both building and running solutions that could require off hours support. This support is sharedamongst the team members to coverweekends and weeknights. The goal is to design for failure and, using cloud-native infrastructure patterns, automate responses to possible issues so they can be worked during normal hours.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Experience designing complex software solutions
    • Broad and deep programming experience in Power Platform and CoPilot technologies
    • An understanding of AWS architecture
    • Experience mentoring and leading a team, including good interpersonal and team collaboration skills
    • Experience implementing application security, software design patterns, and the SDLC
    • Proven ability to positively influence the engineering culture and practices in a professional environment
    • Ability to influence senior leadership and drive cross-functional collaboration
    • Passion for innovation and staying ahead of emerging technology trends
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing
    • Strong organizational skills, including an ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities with competing demands for resources


    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with test-driven development, continuous integration and deployment, Scrum discipline, or comparable software development practices
    • Experience with source control systems like Git or Subversion
    • Deep understanding of AWS architecture
    • Experience working with an agile development methodology featuring sprints, points estimation, and daily standups
    • Experience in design, data collection, and data analysis
    • Experience with a variety of Microsoft technologies such as Purview, Entra, Clarity, etc.
    • Microsoft Power Platform
    • Microsoft CoPilot Training
