Overview
A wholly owned subsidiary of Chick-fil-A, Inc., Chick-fil-A Supply is a distribution service network focused entirely on serving the unique needs and growing volume of Chick-fil-A restaurants. This position will provide multi-site, process engineering support, as well as supporting the companies One Supply Chain initiatives.
The Chick-fil-A Supply distribution service network is comprised of three components:
• Distribution Center - State-of-the-art warehouses that house supply for Chick-fil-A restaurants
• Production Distribution Center - Offsite facilities that prepare select ingredients and menu items for Chick-fil-A restaurants
• Transportation - Growing fleet of delivery vehicles that supply Chick-fil-A restaurants

The Lead Process Engineer will help make this vision a reality by supporting the process engineering efforts, across Chick-fil-A Supply's growing distribution network. This role will focus on understanding the needs of the business and leading the enhancement of process capabilities and methods by leveraging continuous improvement tools aligned with the objectives of the business. The role will coordinate with subject matter experts and key stakeholders across the supply chain to create solutions and define performance goals and metrics alongside the analytics team, thereby creating/driving internal processes and systems to ensure appropriate due diligence is applied to business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Identify inconsistencies and opportunities to standardize and optimizes processes across the growing distribution network
- Utilize lean standards to drive a culture of Continuous Improvement
- Provide leadership and support to process engineering initiatives at DC level including time studies to analyze work systems, developing standards and/or improvements to existing systems
- Provide input for the development of functional layouts to minimize space and material transit distance
- Manage engineering function for assigned projects and activities including processes, work standards, equipment, and facilities
- Support the deployment of new DCs from design to post go-live support. Documenting and educating the team on new capabilities
- Implement and sustain Lean Management System at the DC
- Support the ETS and PMO group by leading product and design requirement gathering teams
- Lead the development and deployment of engineering labor standard at new and existing DCs
- Support DC KPIs including service, quality, cost, and safety
- Optimize processes from inception through startup
- Audit processes and improve production rates, workflow, and quality
- Develop and revise SOPs, improve standard work for all positions, time studies, employee utilization and lean initiatives
- Represent Chick-fil-A Supply with initial ROI / feasibility studies for One Supply Chain initiatives
- Develop lessons learned and best practice systems, policies, and procedures to leverage across multiple areas within the business
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, Engineering or Business-related field
- 3+ years relevant business experience, Manufacturing in a plant/ Distribution Center preferred
- Excellent business communication and presentation skills
- Lean Deployment Experience in a multi-location organization
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with ERP Systems

- LEAN Green Belt
- PMP / Agile Scrum Master Certification
