Overview

This role will serve on the Fee Calculation Report (FCR) Systems team within Restaurant Accounting Strategy and Systems. The FCR Systems team maintains and enhances various Restaurant Financial Systems.

Project Leads on the team are responsible for project strategy, leadership, and execution as they partner with Accountants and other stakeholders across the business. They leverage their deep knowledge and expertise to advise stakeholders, make strategic recommendations and influence both proactive and responsive direction that aligns the organization around short and long-term goals and how those goals will be achieved.

Responsibilities

  • Leads small projects that impact the Fee Calculation Report (FCR) system which includes working with the team to determine the best path forward for all stakeholders, documenting requirements, testing system updates, change management, and implementing changes in production
  • Understands and documents system requirements from stakeholders and subject matter experts across the business
  • Continuously prioritizes all incoming projects and requests from across the business and keeps stakeholders updated on prioritization and timeline
  • Ensures FCR system health in partnership with DTT
  • Solves complex issues, makes recommendations, and influences change through the lens of Operators and Restaurant Accounting while also considering other stakeholders in the business
  • Identify, recommend/resolve, and pursue FCR System enhancements/issues through the lens of impact to FCRs/P&Ls, to Operators and their teams, as well as impact to the workload of Restaurant Accountants
  • Partners with Digital Transformation and Technology (DTT) to build and document test cases and perform necessary testing activities
  • Partners with members of Restaurant Accounting and other subject matter experts to perform User Acceptance Testing
  • Participates in prioritization and planning of work needed for project design, enhancements, and bug fixes using an Agile methodology approach
  • Performs change management activities to facilitate adoption of system changes within Restaurant Accounting
  • Relied upon as a subject matter expert by Restaurant Accounting and others in the business for accounting and FCR Systems
  • Provides input on system design decisions that impact the FCR system and Restaurant Accounting
  • Uses critical thinking skills to resolve issues that arise related to the FCR System in conjunction with DTT
  • Builds and maintains a deep knowledge and understanding of the current FCR system and data flows as well as the impacts to other areas such as Restaurant Cash Management, International, and other stakeholders when changes are made
  • Builds and maintains a deep knowledge and understanding of projected business needs and current system constraints
  • Builds and maintains a deep knowledge and understanding of Chick-fil-A Restaurant Accounting
  • Builds and maintains relationships with stakeholders across the business
  • Facilitates ad-hoc and ongoing stakeholder meetings to consider a wide array of possible solutions to a business need, ensuring alignment and desired outcomes are achieved
  • Occasionally participates in or co-leads innovation/ideation sessions to consider all options and seek diverse input into future changes

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams and independently
  • Strong systems-thinking mindset, able to understand intricate details and how they relate to each other in the broader scope of a system
  • Self-starter who sees needs and proactively seeks solutions, exhibits a personal desire for excellence, eagerness to learn and a process improvement mindset
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical experience paired with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven track record of executing work with excellence
  • Unique ability to simultaneously manage work on different timelines within multiple workstreams
  • Comfortable in fast paced, changing environments, with a willingness to adapt
  • Knowledge and understanding of Chick-fil-A's standard suite of work solutions, including Microsoft Office


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with systems implementations
  • Experience with restaurant financial systems
  • 5 years' experience
