The Enterprise Business Architecture team plays a crucial role in driving business success by supporting strategic planning and technical innovation. As stewards of the company's Business Capability Model, we work closely with business leaders to communicate cross-enterprise initiatives within the context of our business architecture. Our team provides thought leadership, leads design discussions at the system, process, and logic layer, and much more. We work with leaders to set strategic direction and provide high-level design guidance to technology teams. We strive to maximize freedom and autonomy for our engineering teams while maintaining robust and objective standards and principles to ensure alignment across the organization. Responsibilities

As a member of the Enterprise Business Architecture team, you'll be responsible for leveraging your expertise and leadership skills to drive Chick-fil-A's business and technology strategies forward.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Collaborating with business and technology leaders to develop innovative solutions that enhance the capacity, reduce the complexity, and optimize the experience for Chick-fil-A's Operators, Staff and Customers.
  • Using methods such as capability modeling, application mapping, process mapping, and context diagramming, to help teams understand, prioritize, and communicate their work in the context of Chick-fil-A's overall business and technology landscape.
  • Providing thought leadership and casting a vision to guide teams' work and ensure alignment with Chick-fil-A's strategic digital principles and goals.
  • Contribute to Chick-fil-A's technology strategy, principles, standards, and best practices, working with other enterprise architects to identify and drive overlapping strategies across business areas.
  • Develop strategic roadmaps in partnership with business and technology leaders and help shape the future of Chick-fil-A's strategic business initiatives.
  • In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge initiatives and make a meaningful impact on Chick-fil-A's success.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Business process discovery; documentation and optimization; decomposing business and technical needs at the macro-level and translating into a digital plan/roadmap.
  • Skilled at understanding business requirements and engineering direction.
  • Comfortable effectively communicating complex ideas in simple and clear ways with software engineers, business analysts, product owners/managers and business leaders.
  • Ability to lead teams to the appropriate course of action by influencing up, down and beside you while leaving those you work with feeling positive and cared for.
  • Able to identify industry trends and effectively influence organizational direction.
  • Solid understanding of high-level, decoupled architectural designs using APIs and messaging patterns to enable orchestrated solutions


Preferred Qualifications

  • Business Architecture experience applied to establish alignment between business and digital teams for technology initiatives.
  • Experience in context building methods such as: Domain modeling, context diagramming, flow diagramming, sequence diagramming, business capability identification, business capability mapping, value stream mapping, journey mapping.
  • Background in software engineering or technical product management with cloud technologies
