Overview

Chick-fil-A is well on its way toward building a robust Learning Development capability, including full support for Learning Design, Content Production and Content Strategy for all Field and Staff learning products and experiences.

The Content Strategy team is responsible developing, implementing, managing and improving a comprehensive and customized content strategy that aligns to business objectives and meets Field and Staff audience needs. The Sr. Project Lead is responsible for producing and overseeing key deliverables such as content development standards, an efficient and effective component content management system, content governance standards, and content maintenance approach with the support of the Team Leader.

(S)he will ultimately ensure that all content provides the greatest value to the end user in alignment with team, departmental and organizational strategy while applying advanced knowledge of their field to complex projects and outcomes. (S)he will work with wide latitude of autonomy and partner closely with the Learning Development, Digital Learning and Learning Architecture teams to provide technical leadership and consultation to content design and production standards, ensuring processes and best practices are implemented, utilized and evolved.

(S)he may also be responsible for executing and/or overseeing Vendors and Contractors in the creation and deployment of the Content Strategy in support of a multitude of Learning Development projects covering various content areas and modality types (i.e. content authoring technologies, graphic design, video production, content management, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Ideate independently, as well as take direction from Team Leader to implement ideas and influence strategy development supporting learning material design, development, management, curation and production in service of Field and Staff Audience learning products
  • Build and manage systems to ensure efficient production process of learning material that meet business and learner needs.
  • Collaborate with internal partners, particularly DTT and L&D platform administrators and content creators, to communicate and maintain content governance for the Learning & Development department and to prepare creative concepts that are on strategy and in line with the quality and consistency of Learning & Development
  • Concept design across Learning Development modalities (i.e. modality design standards, visual identity, voice and tone, graphic design etc.)
  • Consult to vendors to ensure that deliverables meet or exceed CFA quality expectations and that files are built and stored according to departmental standards and Steward the budget tied to his/her work accordingly
  • Partner with the measurement lead to establish ongoing measurement and assessment of the content strategy, including utilizing Operator feedback and input to inform training solution and implementation
  • Effectively manage multiple projects to achieve project goals and meet deadlines established within the learning strategy.
  • Maintain a relevant knowledge base about both the business and industry shifts within the field of Content Management and Content Strategy, with a focus on scaling our content management and content production tools and processes.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired
  • Proficiency in a variety of content design systems and tools
  • Familiarity with and demonstrated ability in Microsoft (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Adobe suite of programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop etc.) and/or other design software
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Strong system-thinking skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to execute with excellence while valuing relationships, including giving and receiving feedback

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years professional experience, preferably in content strategy, or communication development and management
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles
  • Strategic thinking
  • Comfortable navigating emerging technologies and unchartered processes
  • Experience designing and managing taxonomies (and relevant taxonomy mgmt. software)
  • Experience using or configuring CCMS/structured authoring tools (Xyleme, Tridion, Heretto etc.)
  • Familiarity with and demonstrated ability in other learning-specific software and tools (i.e. LMS, LCMS, LXP, etc.)
