Overview

The Lead Analyst will directly support and coordinate analytical work across multiple high-level business functions to provide insights for strategic decision making and drive operational performance. They will develop and maintain complex models and dashboards, combining various external and internal data sources to derive insights. This role will be tasked with producing solutions by working closely with the business users throughout all phases of the data development lifecycle. The role will work collaboratively and independently in the areas of requirements gathering and understanding the needs of the business and align with the objectives of Business Excellence. The role will coordinate with cross functional businesses to create solutions and define performance goals and metrics, thereby creating/driving internal processes and systems to ensure appropriate due diligence is applied to business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead or direct the delivery of analytical projects independently
  • Know and applies comprehensive knowledge of Supply Chain data and operational strategies to the completion of advanced analytical and business modeling assignments
  • Develop relationships with the business leaders to better understand business requirements
  • Conduct preliminary business and technical review of manual processes and prepare groundwork for automation
  • Plan and conduct analytical assignments with significant latitude, generally involving the larger and more important projects or more than one project at a time
  • Lead establishment and alignment of critical operational reporting
  • Perform detailed analysis of source systems, source data, and model the data in visualization tools
  • Assess, communicate, and coordinate release notifications to users
  • Document business and technical requirements
  • Design, develop, and test processes to import and transform from source systems
  • Leverage large amounts of data to solve business issues
  • Create requirements, determine visualization/dashboards needed, and configure Tableau to meet needs
  • Work with cross functional teams to define and create visual reports for operational teams and senior leadership
  • May act in liaison capacity with other Chick-fil-A Supply functions, entity organizations, and Chick-fil-A Inc
  • Recommends changes in business procedures and Supply Chain initiatives


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 4 years work experience in analysis, information science, data visualization, or other relevant quantitative field preferred
  • Previous experience identifying, cleaning, and structuring new data sources preferred
  • Programming experience with some or all of the following: SQL, Python, SAS, or R
  • Proficiency in working with relational databases and query authoring (SQL)
  • Solid understanding of business process
  • Experience creating visualizations for executive-level reporting, using visualization tools, such as Tableau or PowerBI
  • Experience evaluating systemic issues and analyzing symptoms to determine root cause of issue
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient writing user stories, use cases, and conducting requirements workshops
  • Ability to lead large projects and assist cross functional business leaders' initiatives
  • Experience in aggregating large volumes of data for analysis
  • Machine learning/AI knowledge
