Overview

The Financial Consultant contributes to the healthy, long-term growth of Operator income across an Area Support Team. This role interacts directly with Operators to help optimize their opportunities and promote financial stewardship. In addition, the Financial Consultant is the Financial Services influencer on an Area Support Team. This helps Chick-fil-A maintain a competitive advantage in the industry. The Financial Consultant focuses on bringing business knowledge, innovation, and insight to create distinctive value for Operators and Chick-fil-A, Inc. The Financial Consultant role requires an individual who is a self-starter, motivated and responsible. Discretion in this role is critical. The Financial Consultant will support Operators across approximately 120-175 Restaurants, responsible for the profitability of approximately $750 million - $1+ billion in sales.

The Area Support Team is an integrated, cross-functional team that collaborates to foster Area health and develop tailored strategies and solutions for each Operator, Restaurant, and Area that promote long-term growth and performance.

Responsibilities

The Financial Consultant is a seasoned professional with consulting and business experience. This role support multiple markets in an Area Support Team and will engage complex business issues facing Operators. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Operator Growth

  • Effectively advises individual Operators and Operator groups which includes situational assessment, engagement and follow up with limited supervision
  • Interact with Restaurant leadership of varying backgrounds to support needs related to systems and analysis provided by Chick-fil-A
  • Builds trust and influence with each Operator served
  • Builds credibility with Operators and Operator groups by delivering value to their business, thus resulting in demand from Operators

Specialized Capability

  • Strong ability to simplify communication of technical knowledge and insight from cost control reporting (Incremental Profit Opportunity, Food, Labor) to Restaurant and Support Center audiences through the lens of Chick-fil-A's Five Critical Success Factors
  • Keen ability to simplify communication of external policy and regulations from our cross functional internal colleagues and partners to Operators
  • Applies an understanding of financial reporting and systems (InFORM, Envysion, Solink, Hot Schedules, Service Point, etc.) during consultations
  • Partners with Restaurant Financial Systems to help troubleshoot and resolve common Restaurant data accuracy issues and make recommendations to resolve them
  • Demonstrates knowledge and ability to consult to cash management and loss prevention concepts and systems
  • Demonstrates proficiency of basic LEAN principles during engagements
  • Demonstrates ability to complete analysis using systems such as Tableau, derive insights, and present findings to Operators, and the Area Support Team


Area/Regional Influence

  • Proactively and reactively collaborates with Operations Leads and Area Directors through one-on-one interaction and group presentations on one Area Support Team

Leadership

  • Builds credibility as a trusted partner in and out of Financial Services
  • May represent the organization in outside discussions and technical forums
  • Adopts a culture of inclusivity that fosters an environment of belonging with open, honest conversations while creating opportunities for learning.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong academic background and desire for ongoing personal development
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite


Preferred Qualifications

  • Seven (7) years of relevant business experience, with at least two (2) of the seven (7) having relevant experience in a consultant role
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Certified Managerial Accountant
  • LEAN Six Sigma Certification
  • Chick-fil-A Restaurant experience
