Chewy is on a mission to be the most trusted and convenient destination for pet parents (and partners) everywhere. We seek a dedicated Sr. Executive Assistant for the Office of the CEO. Reporting to the Chief HR Officer (CHRO), you will provide high-quality strategic, administrative, and technical assistance primarily to the CHRO and the VP of Talent Acquisition and HR Operations, while also providing coverage to other senior leaders on a limited basis.

This position will be based in our Bellevue, WA or Plantation, FL headquarters and the primary duties include calendar/travel/expense management, coordinating events and communications for leaders, and being able to independently resolve issues. To be successful in this role, you should be proactive, meet deadlines, be highly organized, and communicate effectively.

What you will do

  • Perform foundational EA responsibilities such as: 
    • High volume calendaring via Microsoft Outlook
    • Make and track travel arrangements
    • Compile, submit, and track expense reports
    • Complete cycle meeting execution: planning, preparation, execution, and follow up action tracking
    • Plan department and corporate events (virtual and onsite)
    • Act as a primary liaison between executives and team members/clients
  • Provide support in arranging leadership team meetings including capturing meeting briefs and summaries, handling critical logistic components, and ensuring appropriate follow-up
  • Build PowerPoint decks, coordinate/consolidate high level reports, draft SOPs/internal communications 
  • Able to drive simple process improvement, complete light analytics, and budget management
  • Take on special assignments and projects on a variety of issues requested by the leaders’ respective leadership teams
  • Provide additional coverage to other teams as directed by manager

What You'll Need

  • 7+ years of related experience supporting VPs and/or C-level executives
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • Experience with project or program management
  • Able to do basic analytics and is comfortable with Excel
  • Adapts well to changing plans and priorities; comfortable dealing with ambiguity
  • Knowledge of office procedures
  • Experience with office management systems and Microsoft Office
  • Strong execution with complex online calendars across multiple time zones and cloud systems
  • Strong communication skills (via phone, email, and in-person)
  • Experience exercising discretion and confidentiality with sensitive company information
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to think proactively, and prioritize work
  • Have a solution oriented, ‘can-do’ attitude and remain steady under pressure
  • Able to adapt quickly to change with high emotional intelligence  
  • Position may require travel (one week per quarter)

 

Compensation & Benefits:

Our salary range for a Senior Executive Assistant position is $95,500.00 - $152,500.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k, and a new hire and annual equity grant.
