Our Opportunity:
We at Chewy seek a highly motivated, analytical, and customer-focused Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team in our Plantation, FL headquarters! This candidate will combine an understanding of finance, strong practical knowledge of financial statements, and the ability to analyze data. This candidate will perform various financial planning and analysis processes to drive decision-making and ensure Chewy’s financial goals are achieved.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as the Corporate Finance lead for G&A and Corporate Payroll consolidated reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Collaborate with Team Members and cross-functional leaders in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial review process to track performance while explaining variances and identifying risks and opportunities to plan
- Maintain and improve financial models and supporting schedules monthly, driving improvements to budgeting and forecasting accuracy
- Support the production of materials for the C-suite, investor relations, analysts, and Board of Directors, including written documents
- Assist with ad hoc projects as the need arises by the leadership teams
- Extract and analyze data from central databases using Hyperion, SQL, and Tableau
- Optimally manage numerous projects in a fast-paced environment

What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
- 0-2 years of dynamic finance experience and the ability to demonstrate a working understanding of financial statements and common financial processes such as month-end close!
- Self-motivated with a strong internal drive to learn and a high degree of attention to detail and the ability to deliver on deadlines.
- Strong PowerPoint and data visualization skills (Excel/PowerPoint dashboards, Tableau, etc.).
- Sophisticated analytical and financial modeling skills using sophisticated Excel functions (i.e. VLOOKUP/Index Match, SUMIFS, pivot tables, etc.).
- Ability to work under pressure and to take care of rapidly changing operating conditions, while still delivering to expectations.
- Ability to self-start and self-direct work in an unstructured environment.
- Proactive in solving problems and innovative in finding solutions.
Bonus:
- Experience with Hyperion SmartView, Tableau, Oracle ERP, and SQL.
- Familiarity with e-commerce or retail business models.
