Our Opportunity:
We at Chewy seek a highly motivated, analytical, and enthusiastic Financial Analyst to join our rapidly growing Customer Service Finance team! Combining an understanding of finance, practical knowledge of financial statements and using data to make and drive decisions, this candidate will perform various financial planning and analysis processes to support key strategic decisions, drive Chewy Customer service, and ensure financial objectives are achieved.
What You'll Do:
- Perform modeling and analytics required to synthesize large sets of data and produce concise outputs to deliver business insights, reporting and analyses, and recommendations and/or conclusions to leadership.
- Aid in the reporting and financial performance management frameworks for the business and help define metrics and performance indicators to evaluate overall business performance.
- Work cross-functionally with the broader Finance team, Customer Service, Retail and Healthcare Operations, Engineering, Human Resources, Learning and Development, Marketing, and the WOW team to fully understand the business, its customers, and overall operations.
- Actively participate in the target setting and annual/quarterly planning processes.
- Lead all aspects of the monthly close and reporting process ensuring books and records are accurately maintained in accordance with Chewy's policies and procedures and reporting is published accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Pursue continuous improvement in all areas of the business with an emphasis on driving customer experience and satisfaction while maintaining an eye on cost.
- Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

What You'll Need:
- BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management, or Economics.
- 0-2 years of progressive finance experience and the ability to demonstrate a working understanding of financial statements and common financial processes such as month end close.
- Self-motivated with a strong internal drive to learn and a high degree of attention to detail and the ability to deliver on deadlines.
- Financial analysis and modeling skills, and experience in forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis.
- Sophisticated Excel (i.e. Powerquery, embedded SQL/Snowflake queries, sumifs statements, etc.).
- Experience with SQL coding, Hyperion Smartview, Tableau, Oracle ERP is a plus.
- Ability to think creatively and work independently as part of a team to address problems given limited resources and time
- Able to adapt to ambiguity and manage changing priorities.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
