Our Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for a Creative Manager to join our Creative Operations Team. Our Creative Managers foster outstanding creative outcomes that deliver on our internal partner’s business objectives! They understand what positive relationships require and the standard methodologies for growing them while delivering an outstanding level of customer service.

In this role, you will serve as the sole owner of creative project planning and execution for defined and/or standardized Chewy brand & marketing campaigns that require end-to-end subject matter expertise. You will partner with Creative Leaders to develop creative strategies and solutions for our client’s business challenges, while prioritizing multiple projects from start to finish, including handling scope and resources, scheduling, developing project plans, and providing status updates to both project partners and executive teams. You will partner with Design, Production Design, and Copywriting, as well as our Studio Project Management teams to handle all factors that govern project success to ensure high-quality delivery within time, cost, and quality parameters. A passion for pets and culturally defining consumer brands is a must.

What you'll do:

  • Partner with Business and Marketing teams as they develop their briefs, serving as the voice of Creative, and ensuring adherence to creative process and media standard methodologies.
  • Intake all creative briefs, ensuring creative requirements, specs, and standard processes are collected.
  • Partner with Marketing teams to develop tailored, actionable project plans with defined timelines and an emphasis on speed to market
  • Work directly with Creative teams to resource and assign deliverables, shepherding design through Creative Review and final approvals, serving as the voice of the customer and business throughout the process, while ensuring timely project completion of all creative and copy assets
  • Master and use PM software tools to successfully navigate creative teams through project workflow and deliverables as well as collect key project data to support business initiatives, decisions, goals, and growth
  • Build and foster relationships with both internal and external teams, ensuring alignment and acting as the liaison between collaborators and creative service teams.
  • Lead Creative Reviews, driving alignment and next steps across Marketing, Merchandising, Product, Brand, and Creative. Synthesize all feedback and ensure clarity for creative.
  • Lead internal and external status meetings; forecast, track, and report on project health. Advise on risks, issues, and tradeoffs to achieve launch.
  • Be an ambassador for Creative Services in presentations and strategy discussions, and instill a passion for collaboration, teamwork, and inspiration.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years experience within an agency or marketing department managing creative workflow and teams.
  • eCommerce and/or Retail account management experience preferred.
  • A working knowledge of multi-channel marketing tactics, with an emphasis on digital (Site, Email, Social, Paid Media, Direct Mail, and Mobile/SMS).
  • Proficiency with project management software tools with a passion for optimizing processes and maintaining detailed project documentation. Experience in Workfront, Smartsheet and/or Figma is a bonus!
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced creative environment.
  • Experience with file and asset management in a shared server/location preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail is a must as you will be responsible for quality control of assets.
  • Effective and results-driven management of design and creative processes, ensuring that the team provides both high-quality and efficient deliverables while upholding the client’s brand standards and acting as a brand steward.
  • Less than 10 % travel
