What You'll Do:

  • Develop and implement annual strategic plans for the sub-category
  • Plan and complete sourcing strategies and leverage Chewy’s buying power across area of responsibility
  • Identify and realize cost savings and reduction opportunities
  • Meet regularly with internal collaborators to align procurement strategies and cost savings opportunities
  • Build relationships with internal business partners, vendors, and key suppliers
  • Lead end-to-end negotiations with suppliers, including contracting and contract management
  • Manage Tier 1 suppliers in collaboration with business partners
  • Keep abreast of industry market trends and standard processes
  • Drive continuous improvement opportunities

What You'll Need:

  • BA or BS required; MBA preferred. Procurement certifications are a plus (e.g., CSPM, APP, ISM, IPMM or MCIPS)
  • 8+ years’ experience in strategic sourcing and developing category strategies
  • Expertise in managing Corporate Services categories along with experience negotiating technology contracts within the categories as applicable
  • Ability to work with cross-functional business partners
  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external customers
  • Intermediate to Advanced level Microsoft Office proficiency, excellent excel skills
  • Strong Analytical skills and detail orientation
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable and improved results against the organization's key performance indicators
  • Elevated level of customer focus and an ability to adapt to a constantly evolving environment
  • Up to 15% travel may be required
