  • Chewy is hiring an Associate Director, Category Management to support our Private Brands business in Hard Goods.

    This leader will be responsible for driving the strategic direction/plans for all of our Hard Goods Private Brands. They will need to work collaboratively with and influence effectively amongst Category Owners and cross functional partners (Private Brands, Product Management, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Pricing, etc). This leader will need to understand the role of Private Brands for Hard Goods (across growth and profitability) and be skilled at evaluating tradeoffs and driving decision making across the collective Hard Goods / Private Brands teams. This individual must be highly motivated, results focused, detail oriented, and possess strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver against strategic priorities and identify opportunities within the PB portfolio for growth (sales/profitability) that are accretive to the overall Hard Goods Category
  • Partner with Category Leaders to identify goals and develop strategies to achieve these goals; responsible for execution and management  strategies
  • Build out metrics and mechanisms to review progress
  • Focus on business inputs and implement actions to drive key metrics
  • Evaluate tradeoffs across the total Hard Goods business, optimizing for Chewy’s long term success
  • Partner with cross functional teams to execute and manage effective Promotional and Marketing strategies
  • Influence and implement in collaboration with our cross functional partners in Product and Brand Management, Marketing, Site Experience, Search/Browse, Finance, Supply Chain, and Pricing
  • Play a key role in Chewy’s Private Brands strategy development, go-to-market planning, and execution

 

What You'll Need:

  • Minimum of 8+ years in Category Management, Product Management and/or Marketing in a Retail organization
  • Experience building and leading high performing teams with cross-functional responsibilities
  • Ability to create strategic frameworks balancing data-driven and qualitative factors
  • Experience delivering against sales and profitability goals
  • Ability to operate at a high strategic level while comfortable operating at depth with data
  • Comfortable navigating through ambiguity and uncertainty
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • BA/BS (MBA preferred)
  • Position may require travel
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment in the Seattle, Boston, or Fort Lauderdale area
