About the team/role
The Supply Chain Partnerships team at Checkr is dedicated to advancing strategic partnerships with courts and other external vendors. The Senior Supply Chain Partnership Manager focuses on aligning our supply chain initiatives with day-to-day operations to enhance overall business performance, driving Checkr towards its goal of optimizing supply chain operations while fostering strategic value. Through innovation and collaboration, you will contribute to delivering exceptional value to our clients and supporting Checkr’s growth and profitability.

What you’ll do

  • Vendor Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, strategic relationships with vendors and courts. Serve as the primary point of contact for external partners in managing and resolving issues.
  • Contract Management: Negotiate, implement, and monitor contracts to ensure they are aligned with business objectives and performance standards.
  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly assess vendor and court performance against contracted agreements and quality standards. Initiate corrective actions and improvements as needed.
  • Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs): Conduct QBRs to review vendor performance and discuss strategic plans. Ensure vendor alignment with Checkr’s goals and Supply Chain mission.
  • Incident Response: Own the incident response process for any vendor-related issues. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact and prevent future occurrences.
  • R&D Support: Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to provide necessary court support, ensuring innovations are well-informed and practically applicable.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Work closely with the Supply Chain and other teams to implement strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing operations and enhancing vendor partnership value.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in vendor management, supply chain, or a similar role within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing relationships with stakeholders and vendors.
  • Proficient in data analysis and performance metrics.
  • Able to work collaboratively across teams to integrate strategic initiatives.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex projects.
  • Experience in the technology or background check industry, a plus
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements affecting procurement and vendor contracts, a plus
  • Familiarity with Supply Chain Management software and tools, a plus

We use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop ranges for our roles and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range. If this role is remote, we have listed the top to the bottom of the possible range, but we will specify the target range for an exact location when you are selected for a recruiting discussion. The base salary range for this role is $98,577 to $115,973 in San Francisco, CA.
