Schwab Data Science team is organized across multiple data science teams that deliver AI-ML and advance data science solutions for various Schwab enterprises. These include advanced Natural Language Understanding and GenAI solutions, product propensity and customer relationship management models, marketing mix optimization, journey analytics, models for process efficiency & optimization, and many others. An important function that supports this mission of delivering AI-ML and advance data science solutions is Data Science Product Management (DSPM).

DSPM within Schwab Data Science supports the different data science teams through the full model development life-cycle (MDLC), and serves as the bridge between data science teams and business partners and Data Science Engineering (DSE) partners through the Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) cycle. This end-to-end support ranges from maintaining AI-ML road-maps for businesses, managing the centralized intake of POC's from the businesses, working with the DSE partners to productionize successful POC's, prioritizing the DSE backlog of new model products/capabilities and maintaining existing model products, and ensuring standardization and completeness of products requirements documentation. The product management team also coordinates the implementation of best practices across the MLOPS cycle.

  • Develop documentation that supports MLOPS - translating requirements to drive production of data science model products. Drive documentation standards for moving data science products from development to production.
  • Drive product vision and strategy bringing AI-ML/Data science capabilities to life within Schwab products.
  • Build relationships with key business partners across the firm to understand their priorities and build product roadmaps to support.
