Duties: Develop and deploy applications using Java development including SpringBoot and REST API development. Troubleshoot application issues through multiple non-prod and prod environments. Make decisions on features for the team as a Product Owner to generate, test, and accept stories for production releases. Coordinate with other product owners for features and production releases on two or more applications. Write design documentation, make design decisions for production applications as a Technical Lead. Organize/coordinate with external teams for enterprise projects. Coordinate and execute production releases for production applications. Provide knowledge transfer sessions for applications and production support. Mentor Junior developers on the team through peer programming, knowledge transfer sessions, and code review sessions. Work with external vendors. Coordinate new features, testing, and production releases. Present accomplishments/application features to Directors and Managing Directors on-site.

Position allows for 100% remote work. Reports to company HQs in Westlake, TX. Subject to Schwab's internal approach to workplace flexibility.

Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.

What you have

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Requires 7 years of progressive, post-Bachelor's related experience, which must include some experience in each of the following skills: Java and C# development; Systems management and monitoring of Retail Trading Website through Grafana; Applications monitoring through Governor Monitor tool; Agile methodology applied using Jira processes; Configuration and integration of Hystrix within Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) architecture; Splunk or DB log script development; and REACT development.
