Duties: Research, design, and develop computer and network software and specialized utility programs. Practice Site Reliability Engineering mindset and solve problems through automation and instrumentation. Collaborate with the Architects, Dev Leads, and other SREs in the team, to ensure implementations are architected and designed from the aspect of production resiliency. Identify opportunities to build innovative tools and solve unique operations problems on large enterprise and mission critical applications. Develop tools, frameworks, and instrumentation to validate and increase rollout success for applications. Partner within the support organizations to build and rollout plans for enhanced telemetry, and reduce defect leakage for software delivery to production. Real-time troubleshooting of mission critical application workflows and incorporate feedback to product development. Work closely with development teams during design phase, build, and perform infrastructure upgrades to support application availability and reliability. Monitor current-state solution portfolio to identify deficiencies through aging of the technologies used by the application, or misalignment with business requirements. Assist with evaluation and selection of software product standards and services, as well as the design of standard and custom software configurations.

Salary: $155,709 to $246,800 per year

What you have

Job Requirements: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a related field and 60 months of progressive, post-bachelor's experience in a related occupation or a Master's and 48 months of experience. Experience must include the following: Perform automation which includes shell scripting and infrastructure engineering using Python, Groovy, Ansible, or Terraform; Develop cloud computing frameworks for integrating tools and implement best practices, manage, plan, and designing cloud infrastructure resources in public cloud platform using AWS and GCP; Build, configure, design, administer security patching, access control, capacity planning for servers in Red Hat Linux, AIX, Solaris, and Ubuntu systems perform upgrades, and fix security vulnerabilities, including Windows systems; Migrate infrastructure to a modernized platform, which includes configure them as per enterprise level standards, and perform upgrades within Red Hat Enterprise Linux using Jenkins, Git , Bit Bucket , Bamboo for end of life support; Perform DNS, DHCP, firewalls, load balancers setup with Netscaler or F5, and IP based routing using ACL or target group in public cloud network VPC environments; Design and develop micro-service containerized platforms to run container java applications in cloud or on-premise using Docker and Kubernetes; and Implement enterprise messaging solutions for JMS applications using IBM MQ, and Rabbit MQ .
