The Cloud Senior Manager Lead will have the opportunity to help shape the next generation cloud strategy and solutions for Charles Schwab & Co. The Cloud Senior Manager Lead will manage the establishment and administration of cloud services, programs, and initiatives with a team of cloud experts. You will collaborate directly with senior leadership on the development of strategies to enhance the value and cost effectiveness of all outcomes within the functional area and participate in overall decision making as a member of the senior management team.

The Cloud Senior Manager Lead will work cross-functionally with leaders from other Schwab business units, technology teams, security, legal, compliance, and UX design. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology while supporting team and individual development. This role requires the understanding of complex partnerships, the ability to build long-term relationships with a variety of stakeholders and a desire to negotiate creative solutions for our stakeholders.

Efforts are broad in scope and require creativity and world-class strategic thinking, as well as strong organizational and leadership skills. The successful candidate must be energetic and enthusiastic about innovation. Experience with financial services is a plus. You are self-motivated, results oriented and able to independently lead major strategic initiatives. Strong client-focus is a must.
You will plan and oversee strategic, operational, and administrative programs, projects, and services of broad significance to the cloud organization. You will establish and implement short and long-range organizational goals while monitoring and evaluating program and operational effectiveness. You will provide strategic advice and recommendations to leadership while offering professional consultation and leadership to a team of cloud devops experts. You will represent the cloud organization to audit and regulatory agencies.
What you have
- You live technology beyond leading cloud solutions.
- Previous experience managing technology engineering organizations.
- 2+ years in strategic, cross-functional leadership role with demonstrated increasing scope and/or impact.
- Strategic and creative thinker with strong business judgement and analytical skills, effectively framing and solving problems.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Provider (GCP) or other cloud-based technologies
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum, experience adopting or leading continuous integration and continuous delivery concepts and frameworks
- Highly developed communication and presentations skills with a superior ability to effectively communicate and present complex concepts and issues to leadership teams in a highly compelling, persuasive, fact-based manner. You listen well and ask great questions.
- Highly skilled at working cross functionally with technology, service, security and product teams to create, implement and evolve our reporting solutions offering tangible, measurable client results.
- Strong technology affinity and experience, as well as attention to detail is required.
- A willingness to learn and grow is a must. Teammate with strong collaborative qualities and a positive demeanor.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment across multiple time zones and locations
- Previous experience in a highly regulated environment with appreciation for audit and regulatory principles will benefit the applicant.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, related degree OR related practical experience
- Cloud Provider Certification is a plus
- Experience in the Financial Services industry is a plus.
