DAFgiving360 has entered into a services agreement with Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. for administrative and other services, including human resources. This position will be an employee of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. and will be subject to its policies and procedures but will report to and be accountable to DAFgiving360 for day-to-day activities.
Our opportunity:
The Strategy & Offer Management team is responsible for the long-term strategic direction and offer design of DAFgiving360. Reporting to the Director of Strategy & Offer Management, the Sr. Manager of Business Strategy will conduct high impact analysis, provide strategic perspective, and develop proposals to support the development of the offering. They will drive key strategic programs, lead strategic project engagements for the business and support elements of the broader Strategic Planning process.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Develop high-impact analysis to expand and enhance the offering for Donors and Advisors. Advocate for and gain buy-in on recommendations that will improve the employee and client experience and drive key business results.
- Assess current state, perform operational gap assessments and design future state proposals for key business functions; define target operating model, process design needs and technology enhancement opportunities.
- Lead enterprise strategic project engagements that drive operational scale while improving the employee and client experience.
- Lead business engagements with 3rd party consultants to develop and deliver strategic business proposals.
- Work cross functionally with Service & Operations, Digital Solutions, the Project Management Office, Data & Analytics and Business Transformation teams to define project scope, success metrics and business outcomes for assigned engagements.
- Develop strong relationships across the DAFgiving360 organization and with key stakeholders at Schwab, to design and deliver strategic projects.
- Play a role in the strategic planning cycle, which includes roadmap development, participation in executive strategic planning sessions, cross-enterprise consensus building and stakeholder management.
What you have
- 10+ years' experience leading large scale strategic projects in the financial services industry
- 5+ years of experience in operational strategy and/or business consulting roles
- 5+ years leading large scale systems and technology initiatives
- Bachelor's in business, economics and/or finance; MBA Preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; the ability to analyze issues and problems systematically, gathering broad and balanced input, draw sound conclusions and translate conclusions into clear, specific objectives and plans.
- Experience at a top tier strategic consulting firm and/or internal strategy organization at a financial service firm strongly preferred, ideally with knowledge of the RIA industry.
- Significant experience in leading and driving strategic initiatives, from concept to implementation.
- Experience leading large scale systems, platforms and major technology initiatives.
- Strong ability as a visual storyteller and experienced PowerPoint user who can weave a narrative that is concise, compelling, and tailored to specific audiences.
- High agility and ability to lead with a "growth mindset," an activator who can influence and deliver results across multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced and highly matrixed environment.
- Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify problems & opportunities, lead initiatives, discuss challenging issues, and learn more about critical issues as a group; is sought out for counsel and feedback from senior leaders.
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
