Schwab's Wealth & Advice Solutions (WAS) organization offers industry-leading wealth management experiences through solutions like Schwab Wealth Advisory (SWA) and Schwab Advisor Network (SAN), along with a broad range of investment products and solutions for retail and registered investment advisor (RIA) clients.

Within WAS, the Senior Manager, 3rd Party Relationship Management will be part of the Investment Offers & Solutions (IOS) group's Mutual Fund and ETF Platform Relationship Management and Platform Team. This role is designed to support Schwab's largest and most complex asset manager relationships.

We are seeking a highly organized and strategic individual who can skillfully balance strategy, relationship management, and project execution. This person will provide critical support to the 3rd Party Relationship Management team, who manage commercial relationships with asset managers offering products to Schwab clients and RIAs.

In addition to managing programmatic elements like content, sponsorships, and Schwab-hosted educational events, this person will play a key role in support strategic initiatives that advance how we work with these key relationships. They will help support strategic decision making, create executive communications, evaluate long-term opportunities, and build templates and frameworks based on industry best practices to strengthen these key relationships.

To succeed, this person will collaborate across internal teams and external partners, ensuring seamless execution of initiatives and a deep understanding of Schwab's position in the marketplace. Additionally, this person should have strong knowledge in investment content and education

Responsibilities include:

  • Working with internal partners to understand investment education needs and collaborating with asset managers to align educational offerings with these needs
  • Managing and evolving Schwab's program for content, sponsorships, and speaker engagements
  • Supporting the Relationship Management Team in engagements with Schwab's largest asset managers
  • Facilitating executive communications and supporting negotiations with key partners
  • Building templates, frameworks, and best practices to improve relationship management processes
  • Maintaining and nurturing relationships with internal stakeholders and external asset managers
  • Preparing and managing project documentation, including agendas, presentations, and meeting follow-ups
  • Balancing multiple complex projects with competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency

What you have

  • 7+ years of experience in relationship management, product management, client management, or program management within financial services or a related industry
  • Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills, with experience managing complex partnerships
  • Strategic thinker with strong business judgment and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and present strategic ideas effectively
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt and navigate ambiguity
  • Robust understanding of financial services, investment products (e.g., mutual funds, ETFs), and the RIA landscape

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
