International Services is a diverse and multi-faceted organization, we not only support retail clients around the world but also a variety of internal partners and domestic clients through governance, subject matter expertise, translation capabilities and global product management. The Schwab International team is a business unit dedicated to empowering investors who reside inside and outside of the United States with the tools to invest and trade globally. Schwab's International Retail business serves clients in 200 countries with a focus on approximately 60 jurisdictions.

Within International Services, the International Product, Client Experience and Education team is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction around the client value proposition for clients living outside the United States as well as US clients seeking investments in foreign markets. This includes identifying the needs of international clients, setting strategic priorities, and developing and managing projects to enhance the client offering/ experience. As we continue to build momentum on our international growth, we are looking for a strategic, results-oriented leader.
The Senior Manager, Investor Segment will report to the Managing Director, International Investor Products and Strategic Initiatives. This function will work closely with teams within the international business unit and a range of teams across the broader Schwab organization.
The Senior Manager will help shape plans for new initiatives and manage high priority strategy projects and will have the opportunity to:
- Influence key strategic decisions that shape the direction of the company.
- Define impactful business strategies for Schwab's International business, including business case and execution plans.
- Support the development of impactful business strategies for Schwab's International business, including business case and execution plans.
- Plan and manage the execution of work streams for large, complex projects as well as take full ownership of key projects.
- Build relationships with a wide range of business partners to develop a deep understanding of international and uniquely position yourself as an invaluable subject matter authority.
- Provide market/ competitive insights, trends, and analysis critical for better understanding the international opportunity and for prioritizing investments.
- Support the development of strategic insights and recommendations to the firm's senior leadership, providing fact-based insights into key decisions critical to effective prioritization and execution of organizational projects, including the creation of executive level presentations and using excel and data visualization tools for analytics.
What you have
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in financial services and/or management consulting or strategy roles
- Strong project management experience with cross-functional project management and relationship building skills, flexibility, and comfortable working with ambiguity and adapting to change; can work in both a strategic and executional capacity
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to develop concise and effective communications tailored to specific audiences
- Expert user of PowerPoint and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree, MBA or equivalent, preferred
- FINRA Licenses: Series 7 and 24 a plus
- Ability to successfully execute multiple initiatives at the same time, autonomously, quickly, despite challenges, and with a high sense of urgency and great attention to detail
- Comfort dealing with ambiguity in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
- Demonstrated ability to develop relevant business stories to communicate business strategies and recommendations
- Demonstrated ability to develop materials and effectively presenting to executive audiences
- Experience creating and maintaining perspective on strategic implications of key developments in the external environment, industry trends, and competitor actions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to generate insights through both quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Demonstrated interpersonal and influencing skills, especially in cross-functional teams.
- High attention to detail, sense of urgency, and proactiveness.
- Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment, possess a positive attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism and strong work ethic with high level of integrity and ethics
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
