As a Senior Manager, Risk Oversight & Documentation, you will support reporting efforts on market and capital risk across all entities of the Charles Schwab Corporation, including Charles Schwab Bank. This will require working with subject matter experts across Schwab, which will include senior leadership, Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis and various regulatory organizations to develop and communicate market and investment risk across Charles Schwab Corporation.

  • Regularly review existing policies, risk assessments, risk controls and procedure documentation to assess their effectiveness, compliance, and alignment with current organizational needs.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts across different teams and organizations to ensure risk documentation is appropriately updated and in adherence with internal and external standards
  • Identify potential gaps, inconsistencies, or areas for improvement across financial risk documentation.
  • Design and perform testing and monitoring of financial metrics produced across Schwab's first line of defense, and work with enterprise and operational risk to ensure adherence with standards.
  • Develop and maintain policies, ensuring clarity, conciseness, and governance adherence.
  • Monitor adherence to established policies, controls and procedures.
  • Report on adherence status to senior management.

What you have

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 4+ years of work experience within the financial services industry.
  • Proven experience applying knowledge of banking regulations and governance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in treasury or risk management.
  • 2+ years of working knowledge of financial risks (i.e., credit, market, capital and liquidity risks) is strongly preferred.
  • Well-developed organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills to interact with business partners and senior management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing requirements and assignments.
