Mobile Technology group is responsible for Mobile, Web, Services and Cloud technology strategy for Schwab Retail, Retirement and Advisor Services. In this role, you will work in Schwab's Mobile Technology team on the next generation of Middleware Services driving a cutting-edge mobile experience for clients.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Analyses, designs, codes, documents, troubleshoots, and deploys Mobile Middleware applications built on Microsoft .NET stack using C# and .NET Core technologies.
  • Expertly builds REST APIs and ensures the delivery of secure data hosted on .NET infrastructure running out of on-prem private Cloud as well as public Cloud platforms.
  • Delivers enhancements to applications built using ASP.NET Web API framework on ASP.NET Core based on RESTful architecture that cater to Mobile iOS and Android Native applications.
  • Utilizes tools such as Splunk to monitor service operations and ensure their availability, stability and reliability.
  • Contributes to performance analysis, security improvements and overall improvements of user experience.
  • Assists in leading the development activities on the scrum team and technical execution of platform wide initiatives.
  • Participates in the quality analysis process to reduce the incidence of errors in the API applications.
  • Ensures timely delivery of project deliverables and mentor new team members/junior developers.
  • Works closely with our Business partners to identify, define and process business requirements and then smartly convert them to technical requirements.
  • Monitors production support queues, troubleshoots production issues as well as help identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Provides guidance and support to more junior team members as a Technical Lead on the Team and help to grow the team's abilities.
  • Self-directed, proactive and interacts with all levels of technology and business stakeholders by working in a distributed environment to deliver time critical functionality.
  • Quickly learns new concepts and thrives in a fast-paced development environment that continually embraces the latest technologies and industry standards.

What you have

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Computer Science Engineering or relevant field is required.
  • 8+ years of experience in designing, building and deploying enterprise level multi-threaded applications with C# and .NET technologies with a strong focus in Object-Oriented application design and N-Tier based architecture patterns.
  • 8+ years of C# programming experience and a thorough understanding of advanced concepts like LINQ, Task based Asynchronous paradigm, etc., for building reusable components. (Knowledge of Java is a plus but not acceptable as a substitute).
  • 5+ years of experience building RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core technologies with masterful knowledge of REST principle, frameworks such as ASP.NET Web API, MVC, WCF, and implementing cross functional behaviors like authentication, authorization, routing, caching, serialization, interoperability, etc.
  • 3+ years of solid experience implementing Microservice design patterns within a framework architected on the 12-Factor application principles targeting Cloud (SaaS) platforms and API Gateways.
  • 3+ years of expertise with Splunk fundamentals for monitoring and advanced querying to troubleshoot, analyze and build dashboards for API traffic reporting.
  • Knowledge of latest application security concepts and familiarity with static analysis techniques and tooling like SonarQube and Veracode.
  • Unit testing expertise with XUnit using Moq framework, and API automation experience with tools like Mabl, Bruno, Postman, etc.
  • Familiarity with code repo tools like GitHub/Bamboo and productivity tools like JIRA, Confluence, etc.
  • Ability to drive code quality improvement through adoption of secure/defensive coding principles, skillful design/code reviews and advanced debugging techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of working with Agile Scrum development methodology possessing excellent communication, documentation, and organization skills.
  • Ability to quickly master new technologies with creative problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of expertise maintaining middleware applications hosted on PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry) Cloud platform experience with the knowhow of establishing adherence to industry standard performance metrics of availability, scalability and resiliency.
  • Exposure to Mobile app development and testing with Mobile native apps is a plus.
