Information Technology Operations (ITO) is seeking a Team Lead with a demonstrable record of success leading teams in a functional capacity. The ITO teams manage risk to the firm by monitoring the real-time health of software applications running on thousands of servers across a complicated network environment in multiple physical locations.

This role is a lead position over a newly created Observability team who will monitor Schwab systems in order to detect incidents before they happen. This shift covers the hours of 7:00 AM ET - 3:30 PM ET Mon - Fri. however, the team covers 24x7 weekdays, weekends and Holidays. There will be some out of shift work required.

What you have

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or 6+ years equivalent in work experience
- 4+ years leading teams in a team lead capacity
- 4+ years working with observability platforms, monitoring enterprise architecture and application-level system health.
- 4+ years of experience deploying observability solutions, building and designing visualizations to quickly understand operational views of the telemetry data
- Experience with ITSM solutions (Helix preferred) for incident management process alignment
- Experience developing and providing requirements for operational visualizations
- Adaptability with a shifting work schedule
- Contribution to the restoration of incidents in the interest of finding the quickest possible restoration time

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with negotiation to assure team needs are prioritized against other business unit needs
- Experience with setting productivity metrics
- Ability to create a positive work environment, utilizing positive-reinforcement for employee guidance
- Adaptability to an ever-changing technology environment
- Experience with monitoring/alerting applications, specifically ThousandEyes, Grafana, AppDynamics, Splunk and MoogSoft
