As a Specialist in Mutual Fund Contracts, you will be responsible for contractual administration processes with third party asset management firms. The Specialist will work with senior team members to deliver positive outcomes for the Mutual Fund Platform and the clients we support. Preparing contracts that have been negotiated by the Third-Party Product Relationship Management Team, and tracking the return of each document, ensuring the documents are returned in good order. Reviewing documentation to ensure that asset managers that are interested in joining Schwab's Mutual Fund Marketplace meet our minimum requirements and can be supported operationally on the platform.

Key areas of focus will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Prepare contracts in a high-volume environment.
- Support team goals and objectives and own tasks, making meaningful contributions toward the success of the team.
- Coordinate the completion of work by tracking deadlines and ensuring responsibilities have been completed.
- Directly serve internal and external clients, align on shared business needs and desired outcomes.
- Maintenance and interpretation of fund availability schedules according to negotiated terms.
- Reconciliation of fund data to systems of record including resolution of outstanding items.
- Research and obtain critical information that is required for decision-making. Recommend and support solutions.
- Communicate timely and clearly with internal and external business partners.
- Develop and expand relationships with internal and external business partners.
- Monitor and actively manage risk.

Required Qualifications
- Experience in the financial services or operational industry.
- Understanding of industry best practices.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to translate and simplify complex industry and technical issues into concepts that are easily digested.
- A history of building and maintaining a strong network of productive relationships.
- Strong influencing, facilitation, and collaboration skills.
- Advanced planning and organizational skills, including the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and long-running projects simultaneously, making necessary real-time adjustments.
- Attention to detail and experience with rigorous quality control methodologies with a focus on accuracy and an eye for continuous improvement.
- Exposure or hands-on experience with workflow automation systems a plus
- Advanced desktop software knowledge/skills (MS Word, Excel, Access, and SharePoint)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Appropriate use of discretion and judgement balanced with risk management and escalation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree.
- Licenses: Series 7 and 63.
- A strong knowledge of mutual funds.
- Experience or exposure to working with contracts or similar documents.
