The FWA Program Manager supports all programming, including content development and program/event activities. In this role, you'll be a key member of a small but mighty team with ample opportunities to build high-level professional connections and make significant contributions to a fast-growing organization. We are a boutique organization. The ability to embrace an entrepreneurial environment and act as a utility player supporting the entire team is essential. Excellent organization and communication skills are required. Experience with content development and event management is desirable.
This position reports to the Senior Director of Member Experience.
Primary Duties or Responsibilities:
Program Management
- Plan educational and professional development content, including gathering co-chair member input and preparation of guest speakers
- Act as host and facilitator for in-person and virtual community meetings
- Manage member engagement in FWA programs to ensure a vibrant and engaged community
- Lead planning and execution of biannual community awards, including recruitment of judges and nominees, management of nomination and judging process, awards ceremony, and communication with nominees and winners throughout the awards cycle
- Manage a subset of FWA member programs, including but not limited to partnering with internal and client stakeholders to plan, schedule, and produce short video content, social content, and thought leadership
- Manage registration process for community events, including light web management via internal content management system
- Conduct onboarding calls for specified sub-committees to orient members to FWA benefits, connect them with key contacts, source ideas and feedback, and answer questions
- Develop and distribute feedback surveys as appropriate
- Become a subject matter expert over time to help curate compelling, relevant, and valuable programming
Event Management: In-Person Events
- Identify courses eligible for Continuing Education (CE) credits and articulate learning objectives according to CE board guidelines
- Coordinate CE applications and issue documentation to attendees and CE boards
- Assist with speaker onboarding process; coordinate with corporate vendor management and legal stakeholders
- Execute payment processes for paid speakers
- Set up and manage Q&A software and other event support tools
- Manage registration process for in-person events, including light web management via internal content management system
- Liaise with FWA sponsors regarding their event-related benefits; facilitate communication between sponsors and FWA staff
- Prepare, manage, and socialize internal spreadsheets and other documents related to event activities and attendee networking
- Plan and execute post-event communications to attendees, speakers, and sponsors
- Project manage the creation of event marketing deliverables, ensuring all materials are delivered on time and to correct specifications
- Support event team on site with miscellaneous logistics; assist event attendees on site
- Support custom private gatherings and ad hoc events
Event Management: Virtual Events
- Leverage video conferencing and editing software to manage virtual event operations for various live and pre-recorded webinars including registration, live troubleshooting and technology support and post-event processes
- Schedule speaker prep calls and ensure technology functionality
- Oversee the recording, editing, and delivery of webinar content to various channels
Additional future program management as FWA evolves.
