Your opportunity
The primary responsibility of the Manager, Corporate Security Operations position is to lead Security Operations that have a direct impact on Charles Schwab at the Service Center(s), Data Center(s), and Retail Branch locations within their respective region. The Manager, Corporate Security Operations will also support the local Sr. Manager, Security Operations with the administration and oversight of contract security officers, management of daily operations, building and maintaining site specific SOPs and metrics. This role also relies on building strong relationships and partnering with Charles Schwab enterprise unit leadership to ensure that security and safety policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures are enforced and effective. The Manager, Corporate Security Operations will provide consultation to leaders on security and safety matters, budget forecasting, investigations, and resolution of reported incidents.

What you have
- Must have the ability to pass a thorough background screening process to include but not limited to a criminal history review and credit review.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous security, law enforcement, military police, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 4 years management experience in security/law enforcement/loss protection/safety/risk field.
- 10%-20% Travel as needed.
- Ability to respond outside of "normal" business hours.
- Ability to become Red-Cross CPR Instructor certified. (Schwab will supply certification resources)
- Must possess experience and thorough knowledge of security alarm, access control, Closed Circuit Surveillance Systems, and Fire Alarm Detection and Suppression systems.
- The ability to operate several Windows based programs and security tools.
- Maintains current and appropriate body of knowledge necessary to support Security Risk Management technical risk control strategies.
- Monitor budgets to forecast.
- Requires a mature person who enjoys working with people and can relate to a variety of people at all levels, including business executives and independent contractors.
- Professional accredited certifications preferred.
- Must possess strong interpersonal, listening and communication skills.
- Must possess a high level of discernment in dealing with emergency and/or tense situations.
- Must have knowledge and experience in using proven risk assessment and risk mitigation practices.
- Must have strong leadership abilities.
