The BBMM Technology organization provides a high quality, common Webservices Integration platform for all Schwab Bank Technology needs. The Bank Technology Quality Assurance (Bank QA Engineering) team provides testing in support of our Webservices, microservices and Web based application testing. Bank QA is responsible for test strategy and planning, authoring test plans and scripts, and automating functional and regression testing. In Bank QA, we strive to embody Schwab's Through Clients' Eyes strategy through our people and creative solutions.

What You Have:

Are you a highly skilled E2E Test Manager with test project management and QA Lead experience? Do you live the ATDD/BDD dream, and share our expertise delivering high quality products that promote business efficiencies and building QA Core Engineering practices such as Test Automation, Service Virtualization and RPA Process Automation to facilitate Test Data Creation and Maintenance? We would love to tell you more. Your responsibilities would include:

  • Implement standard Agile/SAFE methodologies, resolve test issues, track, and prioritize defects, record test results, participate in product readiness and release decisions
  • Participate in technical governance and help facilitate overall product quality standards with development and business teams
  • Ensure automation is constantly running, analyzing, and promptly reporting on failures
  • Research, investigate, implement, and mentor junior team members in the areas of Agile testing practices, Test Driven Development, Test Automation and reporting Test Metrics
  • Foster our end-to-end testing approach across multiple applications
  • Oversee our processes for status reporting and issue remediation
  • Liaise with product teams, Product Owners and Scrum Masters to integrate project plans, testing schedules, and metrics reporting
  • Assist in driving Use Case and User Story reviews, and help resolve requirements ambiguities
  • Partner with geographically distributed teams to plan and build our future QA Engineering practices and support our technology decisions.
  • Ensure Risks raised during testing are documented, communicated and understood by stakeholders.
  • Manage UAT coordinators, Test Data and Environment and testing resources within business change in a pipeline mode.
  • Provide QA sign off and RCA recommendations for new implementations to the Business Sponsor and ensure it is established as part of the Go/No Go process.
  • Ensure all risks and issues are documented, managed and appropriate action taken.
  • Ability to think creatively and generate innovative solutions
  • Strong communication & technical skills
  • Good knowledge of IT QA and E2E Test Management
  • Lead and inspire teams through complex and often changing circumstances
  • Deep understanding of exploratory testing practices
  • Working knowledge of industry-standard tools for logging bugs and managing test cases (e.g., JIRA/MTM, Zephyr/HPQ)

What you have

Required Qualifcations:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 9+ years of Software QA Engineering experience
  • 5+ years of E2E Test Lead experience
  • 4+ years of Test Automation hands on experience
  • 4+ years experience in preparing and executing IT QA multi-year Roadmap and Test Strategy at Program level based on the prioritized value streams
  • 3+ years strong Experience in collaborating with the Business Partners, Technology Partners at various levels to execute the program level test strategy as per the organization objectives.
  • 5+ years of experience with Git, Bitbucket, Splunk, Postman tools
  • 5+ years of experience with Agile development practices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mainframe Development and/or Testing experience is plus
  • Experience with Gherkin language, like Cucumber, JBehave, or SpecFlow
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices and Lean DevOps methodologies
  • Scoping and Resource Planning is preferred, but not required
  • Financial/Trading services industry experience is a plus
