The Enterprise Middleware and Online Security Technology (EMOST) Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Director will be responsible for the SRE teams across Enterprise Services with a focus on productivity and efficiency through automation and tooling.
This is a unique opportunity to lead the transformation of reliability engineering at scale. Driving process and controls maturity while leveraging Ai-driven automation to redefine operational excellence. As the Director of SRE you will architect a next-generation reliability framework, ensuring that modern software systems are built with proactive observability, automated incident response, and Ai-powered risk mitigation. Your leadership will directly shape how SRE principles are embedded into SDLC frameworks.

Key responsibilities include:
- Run several Kanban teams comprised of development engineers, site reliability engineers (SRE), and DevOps engineers structured around 1) Level 2 (L2) Production Services, 2) Platform Services, 3) Release Services, and 4) Operational Services.
- Drive maturity of processes and controls, ensuring a structured, scalable, and high performing reliability model.
- Establish best-in-class operational frameworks while leading the adoption of AI-driven automation and observability at scale.
- Availability, resiliency, scalability, and ongoing monitoring of the critical Login Platform.
- Partner with the business to influence and drive priority on availability ahead of releasing new capabilities.
- Drive public cloud deployment for Client Login (CAM-Common Authentication Mechanism) and trading platforms.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and engagement as well as risk management to proactively identify and manage risk.
What you have
Required:
- 5+ years of experience with running medium to large/complex projects with multiple dependencies.
- A minimum of 5+ years of direct people leadership, i.e., directly responsible for hiring, performance appraisals, etc.
- 10+ years of proven software development expertise, with a strong background in building, scaling, and automating distributed systems, and demonstrated ability to integrate reliability engineering principles into application and infrastructure design.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and provide direct, timely performance feedback; experience setting direction, tracking progress, and ensuring accountability.
- Professional experience building scalable enterprise applications with high availability and reliability.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in Financial Services Industry a plus.
- Experience leading in an Agile delivery environment and implementing Continuous Deliver is a big plus
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Red Hat LINUX, standard relational databases, such as Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2 or Oracle and NO SQL Databases. Experience leading legacy technology stack is a plus.
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
