Duties: Provide advice, guidance and partnership to business leaders to support effective and clear engagement with federal and state regulators. Serve as subject matter expert on the supervisory expectations for capital stress testing, liquidity stress testing, and market risk. Tracking and analyzing regulatory developments applicable to Schwab. Provide ongoing consultation to executives on internal risk and performance practices and external opportunities for banking policy advocacy. In coordination with colleagues in the Legal Department, advising the company regarding the impact of proposed and new regulations or supervisory developments. Assist in special projects and other regulatory examinations of subsidiaries. Coordinate regulatory events, strategy setting, and resourcing for supervisory events across multiple regulatory agencies. Position allows for partial remote work.

What you have
Job Requirements: Master's degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Economics, or a related field and 48 months of experience in a related occupation. Experience must include 36 months involving the following: Capital management, including analyzing financial statements and performance metrics involving tier 1 leverage and common equity and tier 1 capital ratios to assess capital needs across various legal entities; Liquidity risk management, including analyzing liquidity metrics involving the liquidity coverage ratio and net stable funding ratio to mitigate liquidity risk through liquidity stress testing, scenario analysis and contingency planning; Market risk and interest rate risk management, including monitoring risk exposure with metrics involving net interest revenue or economic value of equity and duration analysis; Balance sheet management, including monitoring capital adequacy requirements and strategies for optimizing the allocation of capital to support business objectives while maintaining regulatory compliance; Financial modeling including interpreting financial models used to forecast cash flows and balances and its performance metrics such as their mean absolute percentage errors; and Financial instruments including money market funds and margin loans, and financing options available to raise capital such as debt issuances and redemptions.
