The Director, IT Program Management Senior will be a part of Schwab Asset Management (SAM). The Director, IT Program Management Senior role will lead a group of Product Owners that are responsible for the SAM Front Office platform, supporting asset management functions such as Financial Portfolio Management and Trading, aligning with technology and business leaders to develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for the overall front office eco-system.
The role will also partner with platform leaders responsible for the SAM middle office and data environments to ensure we maintain a high quality and scalable operational eco-system for the entire asset management lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities for this role include:
- Providing business technology leadership for strategic roadmaps, business process oversight and prioritization
- Platform Project Governance and User Acceptance
- Lead meetings with key senior partners that oversee the roadmap of near- and long-term deliverables.
- Product Coordination and Support
- Work closely with the SAM business continuity team to plan for potential disruptions to key processes across the front office and up/downstream partners and work to identify and harden critical production processes
What you have
Required:
- 10-20 years' experience specifically in the asset management industry as a leader in technical portfolio management; knowledge of a broad suite of asset management systems, functions, and practices required.
- Must have 5+ years of direct people management (they reported directly to you, not dotted line or cross functional)
- Deep experience collaborating with technology teams and business partners to define strategic visions and roadmaps for IT and business process solutions.
- Superior communication and relationship management skills to clearly, efficiently, and impactfully work with a wide range of senior and executive leaders
- Demonstrated people leadership that is supportive and caring while setting clear and achievably stretch goals to inspire the best in your team.
- A drive to achieve strategic goals with smaller, incremental wins that accrete to transformational change over time.
- A passion for learning and a spirit of continual self-improvement
Preferred:
- Over 15 years of experience specifically in the asset management industry as a leader in technical portfolio management; knowledge of a broad suite of asset management systems, functions, and practices required.
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
