Your opportunity:
Schwab's Wealth & Advice Solutions (WAS) organization offers industry-leading wealth management experiences, through solutions like Schwab Wealth Advisory (SWA) and Schwab Advisor Network (SAN), along with a broad range of investment products and solutions, to both retail and registered investment advisor (RIA) clients.
Within WAS, the Director, Offer Management (Business) will be part of the Strategic Initiatives team. The Strategic Initiatives team plays a critical role in advocating for the voice of the field and our clients while driving forward financial planning initiatives focused on wealth management topics (e.g., tax planning, estate planning, and retirement income). This role requires financial planning content knowledge along with a strong understanding of product development or experience working with digital platforms to enhance our expertise, delivery, and services for both mass affluent and high net worth clients.
What you'll do:
As the Director of Tax Offer Development (individual contributor), you will:
- Define the Vision and Strategy: Establish a compelling vision and strategic roadmap for wealth management initiatives at Schwab, aligning with overall business objectives
- Develop and Own the Offer Roadmap: Create and manage the offer roadmap, prioritizing initiatives and allocating resources to achieve strategic goals
- Deeply Understand Client and Advisor Needs: Conduct thorough research and analysis to understand the needs, expectations, and pain points of clients and advisors in advice and wealth management
- Analyze the Competitive Landscape and Identify Opportunities: Assess the competitive environment, industry trends, and Schwab's current strengths and weaknesses to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation
- Drive Data-Driven Strategic Recommendations: Deliver data-driven recommendations to senior leadership on opportunities to enhance the end-to-end client experience and drive business growth
- Develop Business Cases and Define Success Metrics: Design robust business cases, including market sizing, economic analysis, and financial projections, to justify strategic investments. Define clear success metrics to track progress and measure impact
- Influence Senior Leadership and Drive Strategic Direction: Develop and deliver compelling presentations to senior leadership to influence strategic direction and secure buy-in for key initiatives
- Build and Manage Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate strong relationships with cross-enterprise business partners, stakeholders, executives, and client-facing representatives to drive collaboration and alignment
What you have
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of work experience, including 5+ years of progressive product management, product development, offer management, offer development, or product owner experience and/or financial planning experience
- Highly developed strategic thinking and analytical skills with a proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with a proven ability to effectively communicate complex information to executive audiences and influence strategic decision-making
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex, cross-functional initiatives with significant business impact
- A highly resourceful, adaptable, and creative problem solver with a proven ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and drive innovation
- Exceptional relationship-building, stakeholder management, and influencing skills with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA
- Prior experience in financial services and/or wealth management
