Cost Basis Operations (CBO) is part of the Custody & Asset Services division of Operational Services. We are dedicated to leading a culture that delivers timely and accurate tax reporting in our efforts to create a premier client experience, while providing a controlled and disciplined environment that allows our employees to feel valued and engaged. CBO is under the Shared Support Services umbrella.
What you'll do:
- Research and process cost basis adjustments and updates, including General Edits, Date of Death Step-ups, Versus Purchase, Cost Method Changes, etc.
- Reconcile positions and transactions against Schwab's cost basis database and other systems of record
- Ensure proper cost basis reporting on tax forms
- Perform bulk and/or complex cost basis updates, as needed

- Highly motivated and results driven
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for service quality
- Proficient in Excel, ability to work with large data sets
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance or Economics
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
