Retirement Business Services (RBS) brings together expertise and resources to help deliver the best trust and custody services for Schwab Retirement Plan Services, independent recordkeepers and investment advisors by offering a broad range of investments, technology, and products to meet the needs of retirement and HSA plan service providers and the participants they serve.The Systems and Process Optimization Team (SPOT) is a team of Product Owners and Business Analysts responsible for the continuous improvement of RBS's operational processes, systems functionality, and client/user experiences.

As a Business Systems Analyst in SPOT, you will be required to act as a liaison between our business partners, clients, and technology teams to ensure that business requirements for new products and enhancements are well-documented and transformed into effective and easy to use software solutions.

  • Translating business needs into user stories and acceptance criteria, and creating supporting documentation (use cases, workflows, data maps, wireframes/lo-fi mock-ups)
  • Planning for and coordinating end-to-end and/or user acceptance testing
  • Investigating issues during development and in production
  • Educating users on new features and process changes
  • Building and sustaining strong relationships with business units and technology partners

What you have

  • 2+ years of experience performing business analysis or product ownership, preferably on business-to-business applications in the retirement industry
  • Ability to pick up new concepts and complex processes quickly
  • Ability to apply critical thinking, be creative, and show initiative in problem solving
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and high level of integrity and professionalism
  • Competence in Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Powerpoint

Preferences:

  • Prior operational or client service experience in the retirement industry
  • Prior experience with JIRA and Confluence
  • Ability to write basic SQL queries

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
